Native of Gulf Breeze, FL. Dr. Michael Hennigan graduated from medical school at the University of South Alabama, then completed his residency at the University of Texas in Houston with rotations at MD Anderson. Serving 4 years with the US Public Health Service in North Carolina, he then moved to North Alabama where he and his wife raised 3 children and ran a successful practice for 20 years focusing on diabetes and lipid disorders. During that time, he also oversaw the Medicare program for the State of Alabama as a member of the Board of Directors of AQAF for 15 years. He was elected a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) as a result of his demonstrated quality of care.
