Here at Paul's TV, we have been a family owned and operated business since our origin. Arthur Paul, Sr. opened the doors to the first Paul's TV in Westerly, RI in 1947, along with a staff of four employees. Raising a family and a struggling economy forced him to pursue other venues, and the family business dissipated until Arthur's youngest son, Gary, opened his first location on Route 184 in Groton in 1980. He opened the store with little more than his high aspirations for the future to accompany him, and as business grew, he slowly added members to his staff. Wanting to keep it solely in the family, he added first, his father, then his brother, Steve. Jump ahead from our modest beginnings in 1980, to the present year, and things have certainly changed. We are presently housed in a 10, 000 square foot facility in downtown Groton, right off of the Goldstar Memorial Bridge. We have a fleet of 6 service vehicles, and a staff of 16 employees. One thing remains the same though, and that is our strong family values. Four generations of Paul's TV, now run the day-to-day operations of the business, hand-in-hand with our outstanding staff, and we are all committed to providing the best service to each and every one of our customers. Keeping with the family tradition, Arthur Paul, Sr. and his son, Steve, manage the sales department hand-in-hand. We carry nearly ten major brands of televisions at our facility, and we can special order brands we do not have on site. Some of the most popular brands we stock include Panasonic, Sony, and LG. We carry not only televisions, but home audio, DVD/VCR combination units, microwaves, a wide variety of high quality furniture to house your new products, electronic accessories, and much more. All of our new units come with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. We also carry, and strongly recommend protecting your investment with an extended service plan. The purchase of one of these plans gives you the peace of mind in knowing you are covered for a full five years on all parts and labor costs that may be endured, if your product should fail outside of the manufacturer's warranty. We also provide set up and delivery for all major purchases. We will deliver and perform basic installation of your new equipment the very next day. For an additional fee, one of our installation experts will come to your home and hang your plasma or LCD television on the wall as well, saving you space and giving a very clean and modern look to your room.

If LG refers you to Paul's, ask for another appliance repair store. I have an LG dishwasher that is only 5 months old. The error code indicating a blocked drain, which shuts down the machine. LG sent me to Paul's, they came out and performed the recommended repairs. After the repair man left, I tried the machine and the same code appeared. I called them back and they said it was our new garbage disposal causing a blockage problem. Simple test, I drained the dishwasher into a bucket, and the same code appeared. I called a back, the repair man complained he didn't have the time for this test or to run the dishwasher cycle; which he claimed was more than 1 hour. How come he didn't know there was a quick cycle, which would have shown in less than five minutes the drain function was not working? From that point on Paul's played games saying they would be out the next day then stating the part was on order or I was not on the schedule. This went on for over a week. Bottom line, ask for another repair shop if you are referred to them.

Paul's TV Sales & Service was chosen by our extended warranty company to repair our 3-year old LG dryer. The dealings by telephone were extremely cordial, and the staff seemed familiar with the parts needed.

As promised, a repair person arrived yesterday--on time and ready to work. Ed was friendly, professional, capable and efficient. He rebuilt the motor and even replaced the dryer's drive belt in short order.

We received no paper record of the service call, an oversight which I have called to the firm's attention. However, based on our experience,

we would not hesitate to use their services again.

Honest in pricing and service

I went into Paul's and said "I need a tv that won't die in under 2 years!" The salesman explained that the tv's of today are not built to last like the older models but he was sure I would get more than 2 years service. He walked me through serveral options and completely explained the differences in technology and price. I went away with a demo Sony for a price lower than WalMart! It did have a problem right away with the motherboard which they came out , on time, and fixed the next day. This business has been around for a long time and I expect them to be around for a lot longer. I will buy there again.

GREAT SERVICE.

RECENTLY WE HAD A TELEVISION REPAIRED THERE. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. THE REPAIR WAS REASONABLY PRICED AND THE TURNAROUND TIME WAS EXCELLENT.
