Overall
Rehab after injury

After I broke my collarbone skiing at Breckenridge in early Feb there was a period of healing after surgery where I couldn't work out. With my addiction to college basketball and love for the recliner I kinda slacked off on my usual healthy diet and have gotten kinda soft over the past 8 weeks. I live downtown and we are always getting hot dogs at Billy's or a burrito from Illegal Pete's with 9093984805 calories. Not to mention the bar nights where sugar and calories add up big. So I got Julie to set up a rehab program for me to get me back to where I was before surgery.

We started with the diet and she cut back the hot dogs and burritos to my one 'splurge' day, either Saturday or Sunday, where I can eat whatever I want. Since it'll be quite awhile before I can do pushups and weight training, we got some light calisthenics to tone things back up. She set up some cardio, mainly stair-stepper and stationary bike, and I've got long distance days as well as interval workouts to keep my short attention span satisfied. I'm hoping to increase my weight training after another 6-8 weeks once things have healed really well.

Happy to say that we're on the road to success. I miss my bad diet ways but it's good for me to cut back on all that stuff. Already feeling tighter after just a few short weeks of 3-4 workouts a week. Julie's great and she lets me moan and groan as much as I want. Haha, I guess part of being a personal trainer is motivation and psychology.
