My husband and I presented a challenge to Mark Tippmann, Senior Landscape Designer for this company: Create a beautiful backyard that would also hold up well to the demands of 2 very active dogs that had run the grass and many plantings down. We briefly toyed with the idea of artificial grass but had both financial and practical concerns about it. No problem. Mark, who met with us on FIVE occasions ( yes, FIVE...who does that anymore?) came up with the perfect solution: Leave a smaller section of the grassy yard for the dogs to run at will while filling all existing beds with medium to larger stones , adding beds that would again be filled with stones, and lastly hardscaping the natural path the dogs typically ran in their pursuit of squirrels. A mix of pavers and bricks ( which we purchased independently and at Mark's suggestion to help us save some $'s!!) were cut and placed in such a way as to interrupt the dogs path and also be visually appealing. The final product is a backyard that is both breathtaking and functional! An added bonus (and one we hadn't expected ) is that the dogs are much calmer now not only in the yard but also are not as insisting on the repetitive, in and out of the house behavior we had endured for over 2 years that had grown tiring and irritating. We now have a backyard that we have been dining out on most nights and draws the immediate visual interest of those who come to our home for social or business reasons. Additional kudos to the company for these observations: the work crew ( Sam and Tony) arrived on time each and every day (shortly after 8 AM) staying until 7 ish in the PM working all but perhaps an hour each of the 5 days they were here and were professional in both their appearance and attitude . Special mention again on Mark Tippmann: what an asset he is to this firm! Apart from the 5 trips to our home (in which NO contract had been drawn up or monies given to the company !) , Mark also took several calls from us in between these visits ; showed a genuine interest in solving our backyard dilemma and made plenty of suggestions on ways we could save $'s on the project !!! I OFFERED to write this testimonial for both the company and Mark. This was never suggested by them. This company deserves your business and for dog owners , this may well be YOUR solution too!
