Great Service, the staff was great and quick to repair my car. They are fair and have one of the lowest hourly rates that I could find.

Here's my experience: I had a "new" ACDelco battery installed 07/31/2009 which has gone bad as of 07/25/2012. Knowing from the markings on it that the battery had a 6-year warranty, I went back to get it taken care of. Come to find out, it had only a 30 month full-replacement warranty, which was not well documented when I purchased it, and on top of that, even that warranty is dated from the DATE OF MANUFACTURE, not the date of installation. The one I got was already 15 months old - mfg 03/2008 - half of its warranty life - when it was installed in my truck. Now, perhaps Pirate Auto Care is hamstrung by the manufacturer's warranty terms, but I still think they should know better about putting in a battery that is already half gone on its warranty as a "new" battery. The guy at the desk was not very friendly about the situation, either. Not overly rude, but not very concerned either. I got the feeling he had run into this problem before.

Save yourself the trouble - if you need a battery, go to Sears for it to start with. I ended up spending less at Sears for a brand new battery than taking what the little bit of prorated warranty I would have gotten on that ACDelco would have gotten me. And, Sears’ warranties start from the date it is INSTALLED, not the date it is manufactured.
