RNC at Greater Pittsburg

Our mother was in urgent need of medical attention and when we alerted the nurse said she was aware of that, but she was waiting to see if a doctor stopped in. Our mother died a few hours later. So much for skilled nursing.

My health required me to be there for six weeks. This was my first time in a rehab / nursing facility and I was VERY impressed. Every staff member was pleasant, took time to answer my questions and helped me to be comfortable in their place. Also, the food was really good. Good taste. Proper temperature. Some nursing / rehabs can be less than clean, or have an odor. RNC is very clean and never had any bad odors. If you need an excellent rehab program, this is the place.

Don't send your loved ones there! Nursing staff are terrible, and pain management is horrible. Relative ended up being sent to an ER after being there for little more than a week. Discovered new broken ribs and vertebrae issues, amongst other physical complications arising from neglect and manhandling as well as mental distress, e.g., panic attacks due to the perceived threat of therapy.

This is probably the WORST experiences of not just mine but my aunts. When admitted was not even prepared for her arrival but did not even have the equipment let alone diapers for her. Decided they could not take care of her sent her back to the emergency room.. Emergency room doctor and case worker was dumbfounded as to why. Needless to say because of the move and being in the emergency room for about 5 hours deciding where she should go next she is now in intensive care fighting for life.
