McDonald's

Wouldn’t even get 1 star if it was an option. 9:30pm at night and the dining room is closed. Drive thru service only.

I have not had very good transactions with this McDonalds recently. When they first started up the service was good, but in the last month or two it has drastically declined. I mainly use the drive thru and they have gotten my order wrong a lot, so I stopped going.



However, in the past week I felt like I'd give them another shot since they are conveniently located near me. I visited the drive thru lane twice and NEITHER time was I asked for my order. I waited and waited and finally just left and went somewhere else. The second time it happened, which was tonight (and my main inspiration for even wasting my time writing this), I waited for a VERY long time and was determined to stay there until someone spoke to me through the intercom. Finally, after forever and a day, someone asked if I'd like to try their wings and I waited to answer (to give them a dose of their own medicine) and sped off to find somewhere else to eat.



I could understand if they were swamped, but this past week they were not swamped when I drove up to the drive thru and there were not very many vehicles in the parking lot. I have worked fast food before and know that there is visual and auditory measures in place to alert staff to someone in their drive thru, especially in the newer facilities, which this McDonalds is (New Garden). Each time when I drove away I peered into the windows to see what was going on inside and all I saw was several employees just standing around with their thumbs up their asses doing nothing.



Both occurrences happened at different times of the day. Once in the morning and once at night. This is not a problem one particular shift has, it appears to be a all shift problem of laziness. Worst McDonalds I have been to in a good while. I will say this, though, when they do get your order right it does taste pretty good, which is why I gave them a one star instead of a no star.
