By far the worst 7-Eleven I have ever been to. From them selling crusty old breakfast sandwiches to their dirty building inside and out and worst of all their "couldn't care less about the community attitude" I am shocked they get away with it all. However my worst experience with them was one morning my wife found an old dog in front of their building... This was in the midst of a huge snowstorm and freezing cold weather. Mind you this 7-Eleven is on one of Central Jersey's busiest highways so after asking them along with the other businesses there if anyone knew the owner and no one did she brought the dog home and went to work late. I made a bunch of "Found Dog" Posters with all the pertinent dog & my contact info on them. I called this 7-Eleven and asked the Store Clerk if I could put a poster up as he must of remembered we had found this dog there an hour earlier. He rudely said no & that I must contact corporate for permission. I asked for Corporates phone # and he rudely said he didn't have it. So I got the # and called corporate and explained what happened, the operator said they would contact the Store Owner and have him get back to me directly... So three days later and 3 or 4 more calls to corporate I never got that call from the owner or permission to put a poster up in Greenbrooks 7-Eleven window. What makes this worse is I read the 7-Eleven website how they go out of their way "To support their communities" Guess not this time! After reading this document which is the actual link I provided under "website" for this business I figured I would call corporate in Dallas Texas one more time. By this time the operator was annoyed that I called 4 or 5 times and started slurring really bad in such an unprofessional manner I was shocked... I politely asked to talk to the CEO's office or to escalate the call and the guy said everyone in corporate was out for the next two weeks and he couldn't help me further. If you took the time to read my review here click on the link I provided to read their "In The Community Mission Statement" for a good laugh. I honestly never expected much from this convenience store chain other then hanging a "Found Dog" Poster in their window for a few days but obviously the store owners & corporate "COULDN'T CARE LESS" about lost dogs, this community, me, you or anything other then how much money they can "EXTRACT" from their community! The good news is that through the police the dog's owner was found and was reunited with his pooch. And even though I would not except a reward from the owner he stealthily dropped off a Home Depot Gift Card at my house valued at way more then he should of! I nominate both the store owner and 7-eleven Corporate to all the halls of shame out there!!!
