"Chafin Insurance Agency" was started in 1962 by James and Louise Chafin, Sr. Mr. Chafin came from a background of Life Insurance before 1962, and at that time, began a Property and Casuality Agency, mainly consisting of Personal Lines Business. The office was based in Graysville, Al., and the employees consisted of Mr. Chafin, and his wife Louise. From the outset, the agency focused on writing business in the Graysville area. As the agency began to grow, additional employees were added to service the needs of our customers in an ever expanding area. In 1979, son Larry N. Chafin came to work at the agency. In 1985, son Jim Chafin Jr. came to work at the agency, and now they both are owners of the agency. We also now have the third generation of family members employed with the agency, Brian Chafin, and we are looking for other family members to follow in our footsteps to continue our family heritage for many years to come. Our current staff has combined over 80 years of experience in the Insurance Business, bringing expertise to the agency, giving our clients the best possible service.
