Overall

If you're looking for a reliable and honest company, that does work right the first time, this ISN'T it. But Metro will ensure poor customer service, poor workmanship, and workers that are too lazy or uneducated enough to take the time to do something properly. If that's what you're looking for, then give them a call!

Below is the complaint that I had filed to the BBB to give you a better understanding of the situation. Which has still not been resolved, and they have only proved that the owners of the business (Steve Arnold and Dave Cusso) have no tact or worth. They are extremely rude and could care less about fixing a mess that THEY caused.... Until the BBB gets in touch with them ;) They received the complaint and all of a sudden, a MONTH later, is the first time someone from Metro has returned a call.

The week of June 17th, Metro Communications had come to my apartment (The Heights at Park Lane) to replace the exit gate of our parking garage, with a brand new gate. The following week, on Thursday, June 20th, the gate had broken and subsequently fell on the hood of my car, causing paint and body damage. After further inspection of the gate, I had realized that whenever they had welded the new gate, they had not done so properly. It looks as if they had never cleaned the metal before hand which caused it to oxidized, which means that the weld never fused together. It was very obvious just looking at it, that it was not installed correctly. Metro Communications had come out the following day, June 22nd, to replace the gate, yet never had a manager come out to inspect what may have went wrong. I had tried multiple times to get in touch with the company starting on June 22nd, and after speaking with Steve Arnold, he let me know that they did not think they were liable, because had I waited for the gate to open fully, then it would have fallen on the concrete instead of my car. Regardless of when I pulled my car it, it was faulty work, and they should not be allowed to stay in business if the work they are doing causes any form of endangerment to others. Their workers should be trained to do this correctly, and it's not seeming to be case. It is now a month later, and I've tried for weeks to get in touch with someone again at Metro, as they no longer returned my phone calls. I have my phone bill that shows all of the times I've tried to get in touch with them, and have left many voicemails. I was then given their insurance information from my apartment complex, and when I had tried to file a claim, the insurance company let me know that Metro does not want it to go through insurance, and will be paying it out of pocket. Steve had requested I send him pictures on Monday (7/15) and that he would get in touch with me later that day, which I never heard back from him. I called him again on Wednesday and Thursday, each time leaving him a voicemail. Finally got in touch with him this morning (7/19), and I don't feel I should have to chase them or their insurance company down since I don't believe that I am at fault for them not completing work up to code. Steve told me this morning that they still don't feel as if they are liable and will only be paying for half of the estimate that I had gotten for the damage on my car, but will not be paying for a rental car for the 5 days it will take to be repaired. The maintenance workers at the apartment, and other residents have said they would be my witnesses for this, and the apartment also has video of the incident.
