Family Practice
He enjoys the variety that family practice optometry brings with it. Patients of all ages with various conditions provide for a very interesting profession. Dr. Lamp is licensed to treat medical eye conditions that range from glaucoma to moderate trauma. He also enjoys the pre- and post-operative care associated with LASIK and cataract surgery. A large portion of Dr. Lamp’s practice is devoted to diabetic eye care.

Glaucoma
Dr. Simon joined the West Wichita Family Optometrist July 1992. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, Wichita Optometric Society, and the Eye Care Council. Dr. Simon enjoys practicing all areas of optometry including comprehensive exams for glasses, contact lens and dilated exams for diabetics. He is fully licensed to manage and treat glaucoma and other ocular diseases.
Macular Degeneration
Our Zeiss Cirrus OCT machine is an invaluable tool for detecting eye diseases in their earliest stages. This non-invasive test uses light rays to take cross-sections of your retina. This technology is used to monitor treatment of eye disorders such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachments, retinal membranes and more.

Our Firefly Slit Lamp camera allows us to take pictures and videos of the front surface and middle chamber of the eye. This is very useful in patient education, as you get to see exactly what is occurring with the front of your eye. This new technology assists the doctors in treating and monitor cataracts, eye infections and injuries, corneal diseases and more.

Dr. Emrick has a passion for eyecare. His mantra is to treat each patient like a member of his family, taking time to listen to all their needs and tailor his treatment and recommendations to their specific lifestyle. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and loves getting to know his patients so he can personalize their eyecare and eyewear experience. He practices full-scope, comprehensive optometry including fitting all types of glasses, specialized contact lenses, and detection and management of diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He really enjoys helping patients with dry eye syndrome find a personalized treatment routine to maintain an excellent quality of life.
