Glenview Public Library, founded in 1930, displays more than 80,000 books, periodicals, art magazines, scholarly journals, bulletins, scrapbooks, and online materials and resources to members. It also provides books in digital and electronic format, and offers Internet access and an online catalog to members. The library also organizes discussion forums, opera lectures, film and puppet shows, reading groups, story times, concerts, and Internet workshops. It provides various online resources, including accessible databases, Internet picks, research guides, and has a special reading room for members equipped with advanced audiovisual equipment. The library has a special division for children and teenagers that organize summer reading programs and outdoor events, and it also provides special talking services to members with visual and physical impairments.
