Emergency visit for my 2 yr old pup on a Sunday.
Front desk suggested I bring her in. Dr.Rozak is an excellent veterinarian. She addressed my concerns. I am always amazed how everyone at Rau treat my 2 dogs as if they were their own. Highly recommend this very caring and compassionate practice.

Dr. Rozak is a top-grade veterinarian at Rau who has provided outstanding care to my cat, Tommy. Since the beginning of our visits over a decade ago, Dr. Rozak has administered exceptional care to Tommy and when medical issues have arisen her analyses and treatment have been invaluable. I highly applaud all of Dr. Rozak’s outstanding and compassionate care and the devotion she extends to her practice of veterinary medicine.

As a "Grandma" to our daughter's cat (she moved to CA after college), we wanted to make sure that her precious tuxedo patterned kitten was well taken care of once the decision was made to keep her on the east coast with us. Thank you, Rau Animal Hospital for your care of our furry family member!

I can't say enough about Rau Animal Hospital. They are EXCELLENT in every way. I have 2 large active dogs and 5 rescued cats and had a previous menagerie as well... I am a frequent customer! They have gone above and beyond so many times and with a high degree of competence, professionalism and great customer service. They really care and are so good with my pets. They are my hero's. I feel so grateful for all of their staff. I completely trust them and feel they are like family in many ways.

My furbaby is a new patient at Rau Animal Hospital and I can not be happier with the level of care and service he received during his visit. From the moment we entered the facility until the time we left, my cat felt at ease. The entire staff made him feel comfortable and truly cared about his well being. Dr. Margaret Murphy was knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. I was extremely impressed with the organization of the office. We were taken to the examination room immediately, the technician came in less than 2 minutes later, asked for my cat's history and gave him a toy. Dr. Murphy entered the exam room less than 3 minutes after the technician. I believe our entire visit lasted a maximum of 20 minutes.

We first came to Rau Animal Hospital because they were the only vet in our area where we could get our cat, Cooper, seen on what turned out to be his last day with us. The staff was so kind and caring and took such good care of our little friend who was in so much pain by the time we made it to their office. When we finally felt able to open our hearts and home to another furry friend, there was no other choice in our minds who our veterinarian would be. Rau has a great, devoted, knowledgeable staff who go the extra mile to make sure you and your pets are well taken care of and satisfied with their services. They seem to genuinely care about and for each animal who walks (or crawls) through their door. We have now added a new puppy to our family and are very proud to call Rau Animal Hospital our veterinarian for all our furry friends.

My dog gets car sick so I was looking for a closer vet. I go to Roslyn Dog Park & some of the people there said they like Rau. They never had any issues. So I decided to switch vets. Long story short..My dog Lefty had a bump on his neck. He was bitten by a tick. I was really impressed with Dr. Fox & the vet tech that took care of him. I am definitely using them from now on. Also they have 2 locations. Great hrs too! Definitely recommend this place!!! ����
Office staff very friendly too.

I have had excellent experiences at Rau. Dr. Jill Rosenblatt has taken excellent care of my greyhounds. My boy presented with a number of unusual symptoms and she took a lot of time with me and researched them and we finally had a diagnosis. He's so much better since he's been under her care. I highly recommend Rau and Dr. Rosenblatt.

Everyone at Rau is excellent. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. The physicians and nurses and other staff are also very nice, professional and compassionate and really give great care to my pets. I always feel confident with their medical services. I have been a client for over 18 years for this reason. I highly recommend Rau to all pet owners in the surrounding area. (Those 18 years include 4 dogs and 5 kitties.)

I like two or three doctors there. With that said, I decided NEVER take my six dogs (used to be seven) to Rau or Rau Too ever again. My dogs have been going there for over ten years. Today I was requesting a refill, and the nurse refuse to contact PennVet where the dog recently had the ES care, recheck, an operation and follow-up care three days ago.

Again, there are a few doctors that are excellent. But your pets will be handled like a money making opportunity rather than a life. When I requested the medical history of the pets so that I could take them to other vets, I was told that it would take them two days to get back to me. Typically it is something that could be done on the spot.



Think in terms of your primary care physician. If this doctor refuses to proactively work with a specialty surgery for your health, will you not want to find a different PCP?

I believe they pressured me into euthanasia too quickly by giving me little hope for my dog that was only 6. I feel horrible and my dog is gone. They immediately started talking about thousands of dollars when I should have given my dog a chance. I lost a part of my family and had no idea how hard this would be.

I had been going to Rau Animal hospital for 6 years. Its an expensive place but it was close by. Last year they misplaced my dogs ashes and that was upsetting but what happened on Sat was inexcusable. I had taken my dog there with a fever and trembling on Fri. Without any type of test the vet says it looks like an upset stomach. Gives me some pills and charges me 115.00. The next day my dog cant lift his head ,hes shaking horribly and has to be carried into Rau. Now they talk me into an x-ray to see if he swallowed something .After charging me 227.00 they than say that the x ray won,t show everything, I need to go to VCA emergency clinic and have an ultra sound done. Another 350.00. Why sell me an xray if its not conclusive ? Short story, I payed Rau 750.00 plus 350.00 at VCA to find out my dog needs antibiotics. The final straw, when I looked at my bill they had a 50.00 recheck charge! A RECHECK CHARGE ? They missed diagnosed him on Fri and charged me a RECHECK charge on Sat ! When I called today they tried to justify these charges, even the Recheck charge ! They are a money hungry business with incompetent vets ! Except one, Dr Cohen is awesome. Unfortunately she works for Rau

Last Saturday was one of the most difficult days of my life when I lost my beloved Scruffy after a nineteen-month battle to cancer.

Dr. Kirchhoffer, tried to tell me that chemo wasn't a cure, but only a treatment. However, I didn't want to believe it. Instead, I clung to the hope that with the right medications, the right supplements and immunity boosters, specially prepared home-cooked food, spring bottled water and love—oh, so much love, I could cure her. God – as well as your staff --knows I tried. With that said however, you gave me an additional year and a half with Scruffy that I otherwise would not have had.

“If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever!”

My family and I are devastated as we continually wipe away tears and look for our ‘shadow’ which is now forever gone. The healing process will take a long time, but I confess, that it will never be complete. Saying goodbye to Scruffy was heartbreaking, but the compassion that you and your staff showed to us especially in the end and the realization that she has been in such good, caring, and professional hands during these past years is so comforting and is much appreciated by our family.

Again, many thanks to your entire staff for the love and special care shown towards our Scruffy, for prolonging her time with us until no longer possible, and in the final chapter of her life, giving our furry child a peaceful and dignified end.

Don't go here, whatever you do. I have several very good reasons. First, when I took my cat there, they told me he wasn't going to make it (he ate a lily). I resisted putting him down and went somewhere else. 5 years later, he is still healthy and with us. Second, when they were doing the tests, I called the vet to ask about the results. He first thought my cat was a she instead of a he (important since he was partly looking at hormone levels). And then he thought my cat was a dog. My pet was obviously just a lab report to him, given that he didn't know the gender or even the species of my animal. That may not seem like a big deal, but it had serious implications on how to proceed based on the results. Third, they are by far the most expensive place that I called when I decided to go somewhere else. Over $1,000 to tell me that my dog, errrr cat should be put down. Guess what. he's still here, no thanks to Rau.



Seriously, we went there 3 times and it was a disaster 2 of the 3 times. I would also reiterate what the first reviewer said about payments. They are not flexible, unlike most vets I have gone to over the years.

My dog unfortunately left this world to early and we had to take her to Rau Animal hospital where we proceeded to have her cremated. Once Rau received her ashes they refused to return her ashes until the measly $500 dollar bill was paid in full. Unfortunately due to a 2 week pay period I had to wait for my next paycheck in order to FREE MY DOG from RAU animal hospital. I tried to work out paying half and half later due to my situation but it fell on deaf ears. My dog was held hostage for a week and a half in their cold greedy hands. My dog wasn't a pet, she was a family member, and a best friend. Save yourself from a horror story in your already time of grieving, find a Vet that sees your dog as your family member, not as a Dollar Sign.

FIRST OFF I WANT TO SAY THAT I HAD A VERY SICK DOG. SHE WAS BLEEDING REALLY BAD AND ONE VET SAID THAT SHE WOULD BE OKAY. I WAS THINKING TO MYSELF THAT HE WAS WRONG AND THAT MY DOG WASN'T LOOKING VERY GOOD. I CALLED LIKE 20 DIFFERENT HOSPITALS FROM PA TO NJ AND EVERYONE WAS CLOSE. I PRAYED THAT SOMEONE WAS OPEN AND MY LAST PLACE TO CALL WAS THE RAU ANIMAL HOSPITAL. WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT THEY TOOK ME IN. I SAW( DR. JANE KIRCHHOFFER, VMD). SHE WAS TOTALLY AMAZING AND HELP ME AS MUCH AS SHE COULD. SHE RAN A LOT OF TEST, DREW BLOOD AND GAVE ME DOG OXYGEN. SHE TOLD ME THAT SANDIE HAD HGE AND NEEDE TO STAY OVER NIGHT. SANDIE WAS ON IV ALL NIGHT AND WAS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IF IT WEREN'T FOR (DR. KIRCHHOFFER) SANDIE PROBABLY WOULD OF DIED BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY BLEEDING.
