General Info: U. S. Vision operates full-service retail vision care stores throughout the United States and Canada. The company s retail stores offer a wide selection of designer and private-label prescription eyewear, contact lenses, sunglasses, reading glasses and accessories. Each location also features an independent doctor of optometry, who performs complete eye examinations and prescribes eyeglasses and contact lens when necessary. The company operates a single optical laboratory, distribution and lens grinding facility. Orders are placed at retail and department store locations and received at the distribution center daily, where the lenses are ground, cut, finished and custom fitted to the optical frames in the size and style selected by the customer. Founded in 1991, U. S. Vision has been a national provider of manager vision care benefits and has corporate headquarters in Glendora, N.J.
