        Our Story
        • Oscar and Evelyn Overton always dreamed of owning a successful family business.
          An excellent cook, Evelyn's passion for baking led to the creation of her original cheesecake, a hit with everyone who tried it. By the early 1950's, while raising her two young children, David and Renee, Evelyn converted their basement into a professional bakery and supplied her original cheesecakes to the best local restaurants in her hometown of Detroit.
        • In 1972, once their children were grown, Oscar and Evelyn decided to move their business westward.
          Using the last of their savings, they opened a small bakery in Los Angeles to sell their signature cheesecakes. They called it The Cheesecake Factory®. The original cheesecake inspired their son David to create an original restaurant, unique to this day, and in 1978, he opened The Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. With little knowledge of how to run a restaurant but lots of intuition, David set out to create a dining experience guests wouldn't soon forget – generous portions with hundreds of creative menu selections handmade from scratch with the finest quality ingredients served in a warm and inviting setting.
        • There weren't any shortcuts – just delicious, fresh food.
          The restaurant was an immediate success! Today, The Cheesecake Factory continues to be led and inspired by the Overtons' original spirit of innovation, quality, passion and commitment to excellence. Now more people than ever enjoy The Cheesecake Factory's original food and desserts, around the world.

        Went in to get 2 slices of 1/2 price cheesecake... I was then told it was 1 slice per customer to get the deal! How is it any different if my mother was right next to me or not? Not to mention the lady was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her. So I ordered 1 slice and a whole cheesecake. While waiting, customers that were leaving from dining in were told they needed to ask their server for the cheesecake if they wanted it for 1/2 price! Very disappointed in the service I received. I will go back to the one in Mayfair as I know I will receive better service!

        The Cheesecake factory is a larger than life experience. The decor insode the restaurants is unlike most other restaurants. With large arcing ceilings, dimly lit, and quiet atmosphere, it is the perfect place for a nice quiet dinner. the seat cushions are pluash, and they prepare for the experience that is about to unfold. When the food comes, first time eaters see how thy trulty got their moneys worth. Portions of food largewr than your head are put in front of you, with a mt. Kilamonjaro sized mound of fries. This is the perfect restaurant for a nice familty dinner for two reasons. It is a nice quiet environment, and it will feed your children for the next two meals as well.

        One of my favorites!

        The menu is large and the cheesecake selection is even larger. The food is very good and the prices aren't bad. I think the dessert prices are too pricey. It's decorated nicely inside and is roomy. It's nice that is right next to a shopping mall!

        Yesterday a friend took me to eat at Glendale Cheesecake Factory, We had a wonderful meal,the best chicken sandwich, and lettuce wraps we ever ate! We got there at 11:30 am and got seated right away and also had a great waitress! The portions are huge, so we share everything. What a great Christmas Gift to give to a friend!!!

        We will be going back soon!
