Pediatric Care
Jumping on a trampoline is a popular activity among all ages, especially children. But are they safe? As with any sport there is a risk of injury, but statistics from the American Academy of Pediatrics show that trampolines cause nearly 100,000 injuries (yes, you read that correctly) in a one-year period among children.
Primary Care
Tori Boyer, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care, has joined the team at Bard & Didriksen Pediatrics. Tori, the Glen Carbon, IL native, attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barnes-Jewish Goldfarb School of Nursing (SON) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate degree, specializing in Pediatric Primary Care from Maryville University in St. Louis. She comes to us with experience as a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH), Research Nurse Coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, and Faculty appointed Research Associate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine.
Emergency Care
Our doctors’ exchange will have a pediatric trained RN from St. Louis Children’s Hospital triage your call. They are very experienced in phone care and can help you decide what is best to do for your child. They are authorized to refer you to an Emergency Department if necessary. If emergency care is needed, we have physicians on staff at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Anderson Hospital.
Immunizations
Our physicians follow the AAP guidelines for routine child care and immunizations. We recommend your first office visit be within 2 to 3 days of discharge from the hospital. Your child’s weight will be checked approximately 1 week later or as needed. Routine visits then begin at 1 month of age followed by 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months and 24 months. After that, your child should be seen at least every year for a routine exam.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
ADHD meds may be refilled electronically. We still recommend calling for them at least 24 hours prior to needing your child’s prescription refilled.
