We visited Dobbins House for lunch sept 25th for lunch. We ate at the bar. The bartendet was very curt, impatient and never smiled. Food was good but hoped for a more plesant experience.

Provided by DexKnowsMy first visit to Gettysburg, but it was not my companion's. Ate all meals at the Dobbin House and the service and food was excellent. We went on the off season (March 2011) and there were no crowds, but the place was busy. Accommodations were very nice and the staff goes out of their way to get you anyting you need. Loved it and am going again!

Provided by DexKnowsMy wife and I had traveled to Gettysburg to enjoy a short yet relaxing honeymoon over labor day weekend. The Dobbins House came highly recommened from the inn keeper at the B&B in which we were staying. The waitress who served us seemed very unhappy to be there and was far from hospitable. We both ordered salads along with Steak dinners and crab cakes. The salads were warm, the baked potatoes were so cold, they couldn't even melt the butter. The steaks were to have been Fillet Mignon's, but seemed to be more of a ribeye, not cooked to order and cold as well. My wife sent here meal back and I ate the crab cake, and a few bites of the steak. Needless to say, my wife told the waitress that the food was cold and unedible. The waitress removed her plate and returned to actually ask if we saved room for desert! We were extremely disappointed with the food and the service and would not recommend the Dobbin's House to anyone. Based on other reviews, I suppose we were there on an off nigh

Provided by DexKnowsAbsolutely fantastic food with the best colonial atmosphere around! Also love the Springhouse Tavern downstairs! The Spit-Fired Chicken is the best and their French Onion Soup is the best I've ever had!!! HIGH RECOMMEND!!!!!

The Dobbin House is one of my favorite places to go when I visit Gettysburg. I have never had a problem with my meal. Once my husband did have a problem with his shrimp that came out a little cold, but other than that no problems. I always look forward to going to dinner there.
