Church on the Rock

I must respond to bertwhiz. Just a wee bit amused! The security with the earpiece was most likely asking an usher to find out whose number was coming up on the monitor because no one was going to the baby room. Most likely, someone was engrossed in the service and didn't notice their number. The earpiece is so they don't disrupt services! We also have a gentleman who sweeps the parking lot because we are located next to a bar. It is the ushers' job to know who is new so they can be sure and greet them and answer any questions they may have. I am sure he was legitimately greeting you, not being a big brother, though it may have appeared that way! I have been a member for two years and love this place. These people have become my family and I love our pastor with all my heart. I feel blessed, enlightened and I learn more about God every day. I hope you come back, and this time maybe ask the ushers why they do such-and-such. This way you won't feel bothered by the ushers. It is just a convenient way for them to communicate without disrupting the service to ask where a free seat is and things like that! : ) We hope to see you again!

for improvement. Pastor has a calling but church could be more guest friendly. Time of services are not advertised outside. And twice security detail gave creepy Big Brother feeling in 150 person church. Have no ideawhat has happened in past, but found big guy on front row looking back and someone in security with ear piece on way out (whom I had never greeted) said 'Thanks for visitng us.'?? Little paranoid, but other than that would re-visit .

Ever since my family and I have had the privilege of joining Church on the Rock we've been blessed by the wonderful congregation, the standard of excellence, and most of all by the uncompromised word of God that is preached by our honorable and loving Pastors. I praise and glorify God for the opportunity to be a part of a Church whose Pastors preach straight out of God's word rather than "personal opinions", but if you're looking for a message that will just pet you down real good, rather than a Holy Spirit led sermon that teaches you how to grow up in your spiritual life and reach for God's best for your life, well then........... Go find your "church."

John tells us to try the spirits and see if they are of God. This church has many demonic forces holding back the Truth. Like the previous reviewer said the church is a Pastor centered church, not Christ. The pastor follows church doctrine and teachings of his previous pastor from the breakaway church the COTR Indiana. Elders bow down to the pastor. The congregation is being deceived because the pastors mind control has the congregation thinking he is the only one that can teach them about God. Jesus said “The Holy Spirit will teach us all things.” He brow beats and put’s himself above the congregation. Jesus himself a King came as a servant. If you say something against the pastor he thinks there is some hex or curse on you because you spoke about him. Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!" Matthew 16:6

IT IS AWESOME!! IT MUST BE WHAT THE 120 PEOPLE FELT LIKE IN THE UPPER ROOM WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME IN!!!! ITS AN EXPERIENCE NOT A SHOW!!! BUT IF ITS TOO MUCH FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, THERES PLENTY OF OTHER CHURCHES TO CHOOSE FROM. THIS IS A CHURCH WHERE YOU GROW OR GO. BUT ONCE YOU START TO GROW YOU NEVER WANT TO GO!!!!!
