We celebrated my mother-in-law...

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 75th Birthday here last Saturday night. The service was great, the food was delicious and the Elvis Impersonator, who we came all the way from Mansfield, Ft. Worth, Grand Prairie, Red Oak, and Waxahachie to see was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!! I think Jonny Rockit was so awesome!!! It was Big surprise and we were seating right in front of the stage! Thank you to Juan, the Manager and all the servers and staff for making this the best night ever and one we'll never forget!!!

2nd Location Does Not Disappoint

I've been eating at the original Mexicali for over a decade - since my granddaughter was in a high chair - and I was tickled pink when they opened a location in my area (Garland). Everything is as good as the original restaurant, at 11277 E Northwest Hwy in Dallas - even their spectacular salsa! The atmosphere is a little different: whereas the original location is close and private - no windows - the Garland location is all glass! It's a little dark (pleasantly so) with some festive neon. Everything I've had there is good, but my favorites are the Cheese Enchiladas and the Tacos al Carbon. Think of Mexicali as a home-cookin' restaurant - with Mexican home-cookin'!
