The Street Department of Garland maintains, repairs and replaces streets, alleys and other related infrastructure. Located in Garland, Texas, it provides a safe road system through proper maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement of failed segments of pavement and all other related infrastructure. It offers various services and programs, such as pothole and major street patching, milling, grinding, and level lifting of the pavement to eliminate standing water, alley grading, crack sealing and fallen tree removal. Additionally, its services include shoulder maintenance, street sweeping, guard rail repair, concrete street repair and reconstruction and asphalt street rehabilitation. It also maintains a concrete recycling center to crush concrete pavement and make base material for street construction projects.
