Planet Fitness

The staff has been nothing but kind to me. The equipment that the gentleman was referring to is located in the 30 minute circuit training area. It is set up on a timer (traffic light) where you use the machine while the light is green and rest on red. If you aren't using it correctly, you could be in someone's way.

I went to Planet Fitness in Gadsden Alabama from August 2015 to December 2015. I think anyone considering this club should know that their ads claiming no Gymtimidation are bogus.

While working out in the 30 minute workout area I was approached by an employee of the club saying that I had do us the stepper. I told her I did not want to use the stepper because I was going to do cardio after weight training.

She then told me that I had to stop my set when their traffic light turned red. I told her I did not agree with that techneque, I do my set until I can no longer do anymore reps (that's the way it's supposed to be done). I asked her to leave me alone, but she persisted.

She told me there were other machines I could in the other area of the club. I told her they were not of sufficient weight. ( They may suggest they were, but trust me they were not or I would have had no problem using them.)

She then said that if I did not comply with what she wanted me to do she would cancel my membership (THAT'S NOT GYMTIMIDATION!!?, If not, I don't know what is). I again asked her to please leave me alone.

After she left, I tried to continue my workout. Then she returned with a piece of paper and informed me that she had canceled my membership. I gave her a few choice words to let her know just how I felt about her. I was shocked, i could not believe they do this over something so trivial and stupid.

What I was doing was of no consequence to her or anyone else. My routine could not possibly either harm, annoy or get in anyones way ( as they my try to suggest ) , as a matter of fact not using the stepper would only speed up my progression through the circuit. and as for that stupid traffic light, I am there to work out, not play Simon Says.

I believe Planet Fitness of Gadsden Alabama lacks the ability to let people do things the way feel comfortable doing them and to mind their own business and respect their members privacy.

I strongly advise that anyone planning to join a fitness center to avoid Planet Fitness in Gadsden Alabama, they will only interfere with and disrupt any program you have in mind. Yes, there's plenty of Gymtimidation at Planet Fitness of Gadsden Alabama.
