I love Hair Haven Salon and Spa, when you first walk in you are welcomed right away. The service is great. I have been a going to Hair Haven for 2 years and not once have I had a bad experiment. I love that know I can not only get my hair done, I can get a facial, massage and a pedicure all in the same place. You get to know everyone in the Salon as a personal friend.

Arrogant and rude! Not to mention, caused much stress on daughter’s wedding day!!
My daughter’s wedding party’s hair styles were scheduled at Hair Haven Salon and Spa months in advance; however, the day of the wedding (and appointments) we had to scramble to find another salon. I made, in person, seven hair appointments back in August 2011. I worked with the owner of the salon, Tara. A consultation for my daughter the bride was held on September 3 with the owner. At that time I was told the total bill would be $235.00 and I needed to put half down of $117.00, which I did. At no time was there any mention that this was a non-refundable deposit. I went to have my hair cut two times more from that day. We spoke about the wedding day appointments. Again, no mention that the deposit was non-refundable. On the day of the wedding, November 5, 2011, I (mother of the bride), grandmother of the bride and mother-in-law of the bride had 11:00 appointments for shampoo and sets. I told the owner of the salon I would have to be at the reception hall to set up by 12:30 p.m. that day. She said no problem. We arrived for our appointments at 10:55 a.m., only to find two people getting their hair highlighted, cut, blow dried and straightened. Both people still had foil wrappers – so they were early in the coloring process. We were acknowledged by the owner and it was suggested we run some errands and come back a little later. I reminded her that was not possible, we had appointments scheduled for months and were on a close timeline. She said she understood and told the stylist my response. The stylist, Chris, had not even acknowledged we had arrived. At 11:30 a.m. she was finishing the second person’s hair. I was beginning to get frustrated. She finished at 11:40 a.m., started to clean up, walked by me and said, “What are you here for?” Well that was quite a surprise. I told her I had an appointment at 11:00 for three people and we had run out of time. She proceeded to tell me that she had been there since 9:00 and had not had a break! At that point I pulled out my cell phone, called my daughter, the bride, and told her I thought she should look for another salon to do her and the other wedding attendant’s hair. The owner heard my conversation and immediately asked that I step outside to work this out. I asked her if we had appointment at 11:00 and she said she made a mistake and put in system for 11:15. I said that was interesting since I had received an email from her salon confirming my 11:00 appointment. She had nothing to say. She was begging I keep the afternoon appointments and I told her I was very uncomfortable with the way the stylist had treated my guests. She said she understood and she would be handling that. I told her my daughter would make the decision as to whether or not to keep the appointment and I would call her. Within 30 minutes, my daughter called her to say she would not be having her hair done. Tara was very upset and asked that I call her. After setting up the reception, I called Tara. She informed me that the deposit was non-refundable and would not be giving me my money back. My experience with this salon has been very disappointing.
