Bad experience tells me the operations are untrustworthy. Took my Dodge Durango in to fix the A/C. I was given an estimate for repair and agreed. The work was done and was then told that more work would be needed. I was left to choose between paying the for the original work with my car no better off or pay hundreds more for further repairs. When I told them they could undo the repairs, they said they would still charge me for the labor to install and remove the parts. They eventually took a token amount off the "new" price. But still ended up paying hundreds more than what they quoted and I could afford. They either misdiagnosed, were unable to resolve or scammed. Either way, I took the hit, not them. They did not seem to care that if they would have quoted me that amount up front, I would have declined. Please use extra scrutiny and keep them in line on deceptive practices like this.

PT Cruiser (white) was taken to them with a bad fuel pump. This car has an extended warranty, so they fixed the problem and we had to pay about $400 dollars and it took them about 2 weeks to finish. When I picked up the car; the light for the air bags was on.

I left PT Cruiser (Gray) with them at the time I picked up PT Cruiser (White). They were supposed to check a leak on the high side of the air conditioning. They told me the leak was on the high side but they would like to change both just to make sure. When I went to pick up the car two weeks later they told me that the fan needed to be change as well for the air to work for another $300 additional to the already $480 charge I was paying at that time. I told them I would have to wait and took the car back two weeks later so we could finish the job. This time they kept the car for another month without ever calling me to see what was going on with the car. When I called about it they told me now that the system was not working because the computer module for the car was bad and needed to be change for another $800 charge. When I said no, and just to put everything back the way it was and I would pick up the car, they call me two days later that everything was working now and it was finished. I picked up the PT Cruiser (Gray) on Friday and left the PT Cruiser (White) for them to check the air bag light and to service the air conditioning because it was not cooling as much as it used to.

A week later I show up and the PT Cruiser (White) was still not finished, the following Thursday I show up again to let them know I need the car by Friday to take out of town on Sunday and they said no problem. I showed up on Friday end of the day and nothing had been done to the car since the day before, now the car had the same problem with the fan and the valves had been changed and something else without even asking, air bag light still on. I ended up having to rent a car to go out of town. Came back a week later Friday again to pick up the car and still not ready and in the same spot I left it a week earlier. All kinds of apologies and called me back an hour later that the car was ready. Pick it up and nothing had been done to it, still not cooling as much and not blowing hot air every time I stop at a red light. Left the PT Cruiser (Gray) for them to finish what they started; because at this point the Freon in the system was lasting only a day or two in the. Monday come around at about 5 PM a call from Christian Brothers that now the problem is the condensator under the dash board and it was another $500 to fix

Thieves in sheeps clothing

I took my car to the Frisco location and the mechanic would not give me a estimate unless he looked at the car, which he kept until 430pm. Chris quoted me a price , I decided to take my car elsewhere b/c he was rude and the price was too high. As soon as he found out I was taking my car , the price changed dramatically!! by 600.00. They are liars and thieves!

Scam artists!!!

I recently had my car towed to this location and they estimated that it would cost about $3000 to have my car repaired. The mechanic Larry has a very bad attitude. He began to get really defensive when I asked for details about the repairs that he claimed needed to be done. He also said that he would need to keep my car for 4-5 days. I had it towed to another location to have a second opinion. It was repaired for $235 the very next day and has been running fine. Thank God for common sense. Run as fast as you can from this company!!!

We at Christian Brothers Automotive have extremely high standards and values and are well known through out the industry, community, metroplex and country for our honesty and integrity. We hire only the best Master Level technicians in the industry with many years of experience, who are known for their high ethics and honesty and we will tolerate nothing less. That is why I am certain, without a doubt that the fault here does NOT lie with OUR shop. This customer drove her vehicle while it was running hot and it overheated. She had it towed into our shop and our Master Level, L1 technician performed a cooling system performance test and a blocktest on the engine. The fluid turned from blue to yellow which indicates either blown head gaskets or cracked heads. The cause of this was the overheating of the engine due to a bypass elbow hose to the tensioner which was cracked causing the coolant to leak. This customer has had that fixed at another shop who has either not done a blocktest on it, or did not do the test correctly. She may go for a time thinking her car is fine, but she will eventually start having additional problems with the cooling system and engine and will then know that we were being honest and upfront with her, as we have an outstanding reputation for doing! We have never had a complaint of dishonesty before and we seek to glorify God in all that we do here at Christian Brothers Automotive.
