Overall

Premier Dental is a great place to recieve dental and ortho treatment, I currently still am in the process of completing my ortho, and am recieveing the absolute best care. The doctors and employees are very nice and gental, working around what hurts or doesnt hurt me, they let me know whats happening and what they are doing inside my mouth. The appointments are fast and complete; in and out no long waits or no skrew ups. The office is neatly organized and simply is a awsome place. To add on they also offer many deals on different treatments.

Compared to metal amalgam fillings, porcelain is far more attractive and natural-looking. It also strengthens the tooth, as it is bonded to the tooth and holds it together strongly. On the other hand, metal fillings are not bonded; theyâ€™re packed into the cavity very tightly, so as not to fall out. And being metal, they expand and contract with each hot or cold item we put in our mouths. This exerts repeated pressure outwards on the tooth, causing eventual fractures.

Root Canal Treatment
If you experience any of these symptoms, we will recommend you non-surgical treatment to eliminate the diseased pulp. This injured pulp is removed and the root canal system is thoroughly cleaned and sealed. This therapy usually involves local anesthesia and may be completed in one or more visits depending on the treatment required. Success for this type of treatment occurs in about 90% of cases. If your tooth is not amenable to endodontic treatment or the chance of success is unfavorable, you will be informed at the time of consultation or when a complication becomes evident during or after treatment. We use local anesthesia to eliminate discomfort. In addition, we will provide nitrous oxide analgesia if indicated. You will be able to drive home after your treatment, and you probably will be comfortable returning to your normal routine.

We try and avoid teeth extractions and will advise of alternative treatments if possible to save a tooth. However if it is not feasible for you and you are happy to have a tooth extracted we can guarantee you it will be a pain free experience.
Bone Grafting
The socket preservation graft is an extremely simple and important bone graft procedure. This procedure must be accomplished at the time of tooth extraction. It helps to preserve bone at an extraction site in preparation for future implant placement. The area of the jaw bone that holds a tooth in place is called a tooth socket. Preservation of bone volume and architecture (shape) is crucial for implant stability and esthetics. After a tooth has been extracted, the supporting bone (socket) begins to rapidly melt away (bone resorption). Post-extraction bone resorption tends to be particularly severe in sockets with thin walls of bone. A socket preservation graft placed immediately after tooth extraction helps to preserve bone volume and architecture by minimizing post-extraction bone resorption. This procedure diminishes the likelihood that a more complicated bone graft will be necessary prior to implant placement. In many cases, this simple graft is all that is required to provide sufficient bone for implant placement. In some cases, due to severe inflammation at the extraction site, a low maxillary sinus, extensive preexisting bone loss and/or diseased tissue at the extraction site, it is not possible to provide enough bone volume for implant placement with this procedure alone. In these circumstances additional bone grafting may be required either at the time of implant placement, or as a staged procedure prior to implant placement.
