Parkwood Apartments

Ive lived here for over 4 years. There are good and bad things about this place just like any other. When i first moved in the management was lazy and never got anything fixed. They have new management now and they actually fix things in a timely manner which is nice because most apartments take forever to fix anything at all. They have a year lease option which is nice and the rent doesn't go up at all if you keep renewing the year lease.



A few bad things are that the area has gotten a bit "sketchy" No area in the world is safe from burglary but this place has gotten a bit bad. cars get broken into very often, mail got stolen, clothes in laundry have been stolen, items off of balconies have gone missing, and you kinda know its time to go when you see police helicopters hovering around with the light shinning down looking for suspects. It doesn't happen often but even a few times is too much for me. Also there are bedbugs here. Lots of units here have had them, its not uncommon for the managers to hear about it. But as I said before they fix problems quickly here. So if you do happen to get them they will call someone out within a few days to spray. I just think its a bit odd that they don't tell residents here about it and have everyone aware of a rising problem in the city. I guess are trying to keep it hush hush so people wont move out. At least they fix the problem fast, but still I wouldn't want to move into a complex that has had multiple bed bug problems. I plan on leaving after my lease ends. just a heads up for future residents here.
