American Yellow Cab

GREAT RESPONSE TIME! I USE THEM EVERY TIME I NEED A TAXI. THEY KNOW THEIR WAY AROUND TOO!

While top service providers are focused on improving customer service, it is a shame that this company has a member of staff who hung up on me for asking questions. I called back to ask why I was treated the way I was, but the response I got from the rude lady was a "so?" and she hung up on me again.



What a shame!

I called these people at 3:10 and told them I needed a ride to the airport (2.2 miles away). They said 10 minutes I told them I had a flight and was already running late and that would work. Well after 5 phone calls and 45 minutes they finaly showed up. I had to argue with the lady at the airport she wasn't going to let me on the plane. This cab service sucks. Thew lady was nice but she said only 5 more min about 4 times. Your better off taking a bus.

Here's the "service" I got from AMERICAN YELLOW CAB on 5/14/09:

-The dispatcher said the cab would arrive in 15 minutes. It took 40--the "new" driver got lost several times on the way.

-The thoroughly confused driver got lost after he picked us up too, and had two near accidents on the freeway. It was the scariest cab ride I've ever had, and I've had LOTS, having taken cab rides in several foreign countries.

-The driver spoke little English--we couldn't guide or direct him, and he knew almost NOTHING about the Fresno area.

-At destination, he said he forgot "the papers" to take credit cards. He said, "You wait--boss come," thus effectively holding US prisoner because HE was unprepared to take payment.

-But wait--it gets worse! LOTS worse! When "boss" (was this the listed owner, Masoud Abedi?) finally drove up in his PINK cab--yes PINK!--he immediately called me a "f***ing liar" when I told him dispatch had said they would accept AMEX.

-He then jumped from his cab saying, "I'll kick your a**." He told the driver, "THIS is what you do if they give you any trouble--threaten to beat the s*** out of them."

-I had to call 911. The "boss" (who the driver also referred to as "the owner") continued to curse and threaten me until Fresno police arrived. (THEY were very prompt and curteous, I might add.)

-The "boss" then lied to the police, saying I had tried to punch him and had threatened to shoot him.

-Do yourself, your friends, family and business associates a HUGE favor. Do NOT use the AMERICAN YELLOW CAB in FRESNO for any reason. These guys are confused, disorganized, rude, dangerous drivers, and potentially violent to paying customers who express dissatisfaction.

Pick up at the airport, train station, Greyhound. Great service! Best in the valley. 24/7 service. Serves all the hotels and motels.
