We bought two of these for our pre-school age twins. We're very impressed with the workmanship. A real step up from IKEA. Well worth the expense--and the month's wait while they were built in New York! The beds came in three pieces (base and two sides of the platform). All the holes were pre-drilled, so all you need is a screwdriver to put them together. Took me ten minutes

I got 2 of these for my tweenage boys room and they love them. They're perfect for now and solid enough that they'll hopefully be the last bed I have to buy them.

I enjoy visiting this store. Furniture is well made, customer service is very good, and furniture arrives as expected. I bought a captain bed this year and it was in absolutely great condition. We use it as a day bed in our living room with lots of body pillows and it looks so pretty. Yesterday, I walked in with two things in mind, a bookshelf and chest. I always walk in with a printout of the items I want and ask to see samples in person. My recommendation is: measure your space, understand what you want, bring some samples from the site, and come in with an idea of the stain you're seeking. I don't like to waste time, especially if I know most of their inventory is on their website. If you get something, they're happy, but if you don't, they still seem patient, listen keenly, and offer several details to help with your decision.

I bought my bed here with a good friend (and hopefully more). The captain's bed contains three drawers which is ample space for storage as storage was a major issue for me. Patrons can customize their selection of finish types and choice of headboard. Turnaround time from when order was placed to delivery is approx. two weeks. Thankfully, they deliver on weekends, which is convenient for people who work during the business week.

I don't think I can tell you how much i love Gothic. I've ordered two beds from them (storage beds). They were extremely well made, and such a space saver for the tiny NYC apartments I've lived in! We moved to a even smaller space and we had them build us a custom bookcase. It came out AMAZING. Nic was supper helpful in designing just what we wanted.

Recent visit was service from their home office for my headboard which the wood was improperly varished. The Gothic Cabinet worker re-varish the headboard with proper stains and finishes. The stench is very strong and last for almost 24 hours. My headboard now looks like it was just built.

I've gotten most of my furniture at various Gothic Cabinet Crafts stores over the years, but want to single out this store for their service. When I had a problem with my newly-bought futon (because I had been up all night the night before and didn't remember how to return it to the sofa position), one of the staff came over and showed me how to do it again. If I need furniture, my first action is to see if Gothic has it.

I love furniture that is really made from wood, so we went to Gothic to get my son a Captain's Bed. We got it several years ago and it still looks brand new. It's made of real wood and is extremely heavy. It was unfinished and we had to pay extra to have it finished in the shade we wanted. The bed was too big to fit up our stairs, and I didn't know what I was going to do, but they people who delivered it cut it in half and put it back together in my son's room. You can hardly see where it was cut. It looks great and is very sturdy.

love your products. hope your quality and integrity never change. only thing is add more style to your bedroom sets. the basics are great, but change is good too. but keep it solid wood..... you can get some design ideas from ashley or jcpenney. but overall i love my bedroom set.

I am delighted with how my built in shelves and unit came out. I am still looking for the prefect pieces to display which takes time.

Pleasant, reliable. I would prefer a store in Paramus to be available again. This is a shame, because I'm pleased with the selection and quality.

I go here when I need to get small household items. The staff here are very knowledgeable and willing to help you with decorating ideas and show you what would look nice in a particular area.

I needed a bed, I needed it fast and I didn't have a lot of $$. I'd seen ads for GCC and as it was so close to me, I headed over. They were so nice and hooked me right up with a great bed & mattress at a price I could afford. They delivered on time, set up the bed & mattress and took the packaging with them. I'm a happy sleeper now.
