Kincaid Appraisal Service

We hired Mr. Kincaid to perform an appraisal of our property for a refinance. We were deeply troubled that he used an over the garage apartment as a comparable for the second home on our property. The house is a 4,000 sq. ft. plus single family home. This was a gross error on Mr. Kincaid's part but when questioned about it, his response was, "I don t have time to teach you about real estate." Seriously, how did this guy get licensed? I have bought and sold multiple properties over the years. I don t need him to teach me but I would expect and appreciate some professionalism. If you are looking for an appraiser, you would be best served to hire someone other than Mr. Kincaid.

Mr Kincaid was very helpful. He called to set up the appointment very quickly and arrived on time so I didn't have to waste my day. He was friendly and courteous explaining what he was doing. He removed his shoes and was careful as he moved around my house. He listened to my explanations. When asked questions, he responded showing his thorough knowledge of the field of appraising. Although the value of my home was a bit different than I thought it would be, I still recommend his work and respect his opinion.
