Food is great - tastes homemade and def more authentic than indian restaurants nearby. Food never tastes frozen/thawed like we've experienced with Bombay bistro. prices are comparable, but serving sizes are bigger. Owner is friendly and makes the effort to meet all of her customers at their table to make sure they are enjoying their experience every time we've gone (about 4 times so far). ambiance is nicer at bombay bistro.

I hesitate to give five stars to any restaurant; also, do five stars mean the establishment is rated only a notch below Michelin quality, or (as I surmise) as good as one can get in that price range? Perhaps there is better Indian food to be had somewhere, for more money... however, for a medium priced meal I found the food here to be as good as any Indian I've had recently. My wife had to work late and didn't want to cook (didn't want me to cook, and mess up the kitchen), so she suggested we try out the new Indian restaurant just south of Cool Springs Mall. I lived in England for a few years and have eaten quite a bit of good and average Indian food (more good there, more average here). I found this restaurant to be very good, and we will definitely go back. My wife had the Coconut Chicken Curry (mild) and she really enjoyed it. I had a little of what she didn't eat "for dessert" and it was tasty and sweet (as that dish is supposed to be). I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (with their regular "hot-ness"). This is my favorite Indian dish, and I've eaten it in many restaurants in many countries - I'd rate this dish well above average compared with any place I've eaten it, anywhere. I will say I wouldn't want it any hotter, but that is because I only like dishes mild or slightly spiced. Next time I'll see if they can make it between mild (probably no spice) and "regular". The poppadoms were good and flavorful, as was the butter naan bread. Next time we'll try the lamb biryani and chicken Korma (with garlic naan). We did not try their Mango Lassi (actually the menu shows a plain lassi and a mango smoothie; I didn't quiz them on the difference, or whether or not they would make me a mango lassi if that is what I wanted. In summary, we've eaten there once and I found the food as good as I remember from either Atlanta, London, Leicester, or Edinburgh. We'll look forward to eating there again.

We were really excited to know that we now have south indian cuisine rt here in franklin n that we would not need to drive all the way to Nashville...but no..ops..its nothing like a south indian cuisine...they have by far the least south indian dishes on the menu not much variety in dosas n don't even have basic medu vada..plus what they call coconut chutney was only a peanut chutney..even their chutneys like tamarind chutney which is suppose to beb sweet was super spicy and mint chutney as well was super spicy n extremely watery. Dosa was no where close to what u get in a restaurant not at all consistent n crispy..I m sure homemade dosas are much better. The masala in the dosa was good. But overall Just ok n not too many options for vegetarians.
