My wife ordered pizza for our children from the company website and after an hour waiting called to check on the status. The owner (Peter) said that they had the wrong address and was going to send the pizzas. After waiting another 45 minutes she called to check and Peter once again failing miserably said that the delivery driver was having cell phone issues and they could not get in touch with him. We called back a third time...after over 2 hours with starving children and Peter says that we were outside of the delivery area and they had exhausted too much energy into this delivery and we would not be getting our order (which is still posted to our checking account). No one ever called to inform us of status or changes or their energy level depletion. What a joke of a company. Will NEVER do business with again....if you are hungry please do yourself a favor and order from a TRUSTED business.

Matteo's pizzeria is a locally owned and family operated pizzeria. Matteo's makes and bakes a traditional Italian pizza which was brought to the Chicago land area from Italy over 75 years ago. The recipe is vertually unchanged and the pizza tastes as good today as it was 75 years ago.
Matteo's uses cheese that is made with only 100% dairy. Isn't all pizza cheese 100% dairy. The answer is absolutely not. Most major national chains use what they call QLC cheese, QLC stands for quick lock cheese. Meaning that there is substantially less then 100% dairy and the product has been fused with a substantial amout of additional oils and water and many other powder products. Chain cheese is shipped frozen and thawed on site but be used with the frozen dough balls shipped from regional commissaries. In todays atmosphere of corporate chain stores focus on profit margins it is refreshing and fortunate to have a pizzeria that pays tribute and respects the traditions that made pizza the product most americans have come to know as a great tasting comfort food that is economical and one of the best family meal values available today.
Matteo's also makes a great gluten free pizza crust for those ciliac patients that cannot eat normal wheat products.
Matteo's provides a choice for the pizza conasauer and should be a destination on every family's dinner destination.
We love the place, and thank the family for making the sacrifices necessary to bring us an american classic.
