I was a member of this gym since it opened about 4-5 years ago. This past summer, before departing for my last year of college in another state, I suspended my account – put it “on hold” – as I had done once before. The gym continued to charge me for the entire time that I was out of state, and when I contacted the manager to rectify this, she refused, even though the gym’s records confirmed that I had not been there for the entire academic year, citing a policy change with the new management. She put me down for a couple of free months, and activated them before I was even home from college so I wasn’t even able to use them until the last few weeks. This gym has been going downhill within the past few years as the equipment ages (and many pieces are, in my opinion, not well-maintained). I am taking my business elsewhere and would encourage others to do the same – the manager here is completely unreasonable.

I had the memberrship at club metro for two years. When I took a 2 month break and wanted to join again they said I have the option of getting their 10$/month promotion or pay the full 21$ with the option to cancel anytime. When I found out I was pregnent few months later and wated to cancel they said that there is no cancel option and I have to pay the full year or pay $150 to cancel. I was so disgusted by their lack of professionalism that I paid the $150 just so I dont have to deal with such scum. DO NOT JOIN.

I am an ex-member of Club Metro Franklin Park. The facilities and staff are fine. My main complaint is their questionable billing practice of continuing to charge your credit card beyond the dated terms of your membership! Something like this should be illegal and it is in my mind unethical. Please do your research before joining. Check the BBB website.
