This place is horrible conartists is what you will find here. I do my recommend anyone going here. Stay away if you want proper service

Thank God for new management!! Greg, the manager and his team are absolutely outstanding! It's so hard to fine an honest shop/mechanics who truly enjoy their job and are here to not just fix our cars but educate us along the way. What an ALL STAR team!

I have to say I've used this location in the past and it was not up to snuff. Unfortunately, poor management does happen.

They've got the RIGHT management running this location now!!! Couldn't be happier.

I had my fiancé go there in Aug 2015 for a simple oil change. Discount flyer.. She left with a diagnosis of a lot more than she would ever expect. The owner Mike had told her that her brakes were bad and need to be changed NOW. not now or as soon as possible. NOW was his diagnosis which mind you Mike is not the technician he was the ring out person. He explained that the brakes were in such bad shape and told the they do that service there.$$$

My resolution I had replaced her brakes in Jan 2015. rotors and pads all the way around. So to prove they are misinforming their clients I went to PEP Boys for a free inspection and requested the Measurements compared to specks. Well I called Mike the owner of that Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center 20250 South La Grange Road, Frankfort, IL and explained that because of his misinformation to me Fiancé I had wasted 3 hours of my time and mind you the fright my Fiancé had for two days that her brakes were bad. Result was the brakes had more than half there life span left and Mike insisted he did not tell her NOW he said the paperwork said it should be inspected. THEY ARE ON NOTICE. Please get a second opinion it will save you hundreds.

stay as far away from tuffys in frankfort illinois.the new ownership is out to rip you off,they lied about work being done and he over charges.lost all my business and i will let everyone know to stay clear of here

I was in Tuffy on 03/12/2010. There was a loud sound coming from the engine area. They diagnosed my car for having a bad alternator. I spent $180.00 to have an alternator put in. After they replaced the alternator, the sound was still there. I asked the manager, why the sound was still there. He walked out to the mechanic and the mechanic switched his diagnostic by saying its the A/C compressor that was bad. I asked them to put my old alternator back on, and to cut me a deal on the A/C compressor, since it was diagnosed, wrong. The manager Tim said, "What are you going to pay me, for the time I put into your alternator?"

My response was, "Are you serious? You diagnosed my car with the wrong problem, I spent $180.00 on an alternator, and your asking me to pay for YOUR MISTAKE!" He said, his time is $$. But he DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM WRONG!! I said, I want a discount for the A/C Compressor, he said he couldn't do that! I then raised my voice saying, "Is this how you treat your customers?" You guys make the wrong call, and I pay for it?" You have to be kidding me! He stormed off and asked me to leave. I couldn't believe it! I caught him in a B.S. diagnostic, and he became totally defensive, and refused to make up for their mistake, BEWARE!!! Don't say I didn't warn you. As a matter of fact, the place where I picked up the A/C compressor, later on said, they had a lawsuit with them for bad practice, customer service with wrongful diagnostic, NO JOKE!! If I only knew before hand! Again, ***BEWARE!!!!***
