Dental Examination
The first time you visit our office, we strive for two goals: to provide you with the most comfortable, pleasant dental experience and to get to know you as thoroughly as possible. Our first visit appointments last about 90 minutes because we take the time to learn about your medical history, dental health history, dental concerns, dental anxiety level, and urgent problems. We’ll also do a comprehensive exam, observing and asking questions about everything from tooth decay, periodontal (gum) disease, and oral cancer, to bite misalignment, warnings signs of clenching and grinding your jaw, and even daily nutritional habits. While this may sound like a lot of information, we’re convinced that the better we know you, the more appropriately we can assess your oral health and determine the best treatment plan for you. After your first visit, our patient coordinator will set up any additional appointments if Dr. Bartell feels you require further dental treatments.
