Overall

I have been fortunate enough to share dinner with husband & dear friends very often at Tropical Acres. I love the food....everything is always yummy, and served "hot" and "promptly". We especially love our time before dinner...we have appetizers & drinks in their great bar.....our favorite bartender Tom always takes care of us. Tom is polite, personable & thoughtful. I recommend Tropical Acres to all ages...no matter what your food preferences are!!

Overall

We stayed about a minute away at the Fairfield Inn and it was a terrible rainy day so we didn't want to drive to far for dinner.Went for the Early Bird Dinner and what a value! For the price of the entree you get soup, salad, entree, a side, drink, dessert and sour dough rolls. I had the Tuscan Tbone and it was incredible. Our servers (2) were Tami and Steve. Both were awesome. Very attentive and kept our water and tea glasses full. This is the oldest Steak House in South Florida and its easy to see why they have a great reputation. As far as parking they have Valet, Handicap or you can Self Park. The lot is very big. We will come back here to dine next time in the area.

Overall

Came in for a light bite to eat and a cocktail. Our bartender, Tommy recommended the sliders as an appetizer. Three good size sliders packed with filet minion beef. A real treat! The hand made fried mozzarella was good also. Met some nice people on vacation like us. Mixed in with the locals. Tommy totally took care of us with some great tips on Ft Lauderdale and made us feel like family. Will come again on of visit trip.

Overall

My husband and I just paid another visit to this local spot. We have to stop for dinner if we are anywhere near Miami. They are celebrating sixty years in business. Love the wait staff, they always take care of us. Steaks are tender and flavorful, always cooked correctly. I had pork chops that we're the best I've had. Love the hash brown potatos. Nice fresh salad, house made breads are tasty. If your near the landmark, take the time to stop for dinner. You won't regret it. The key lime pie and apple blossom are are great finish to your meal!

Overall

Place was crowded but service was pretty good. Waitress didn't really understand the wine menu. Vintage years was not on the list. Had the crab stuffed mushrooms and a medium rare filet and key lime pie for desert. Just a great meal.

Overall

Tropical Acres is a guaranteed great meal from start to finish. The bread is always fresh and warm, the salads are fresh and crisp, they make the best martinis, and the seafood is superb. I don't eat meat, but everyone I've ever gone there with said the steak was out of this world. I live right across the street and have never had anything at Tropical Acres that was not delicious. The restaurant itself has a vibe that takes me back to places I went to eat with my mom when I was a child. It is not modern and I like that. It is comfortable and has the nice touch of a man playing piano while you dine. I love this place!

Overall

This has been a destination restaurant for nearly 60 years. Snow birds and locals enjoy the best steaks and seafood in South Florida at very reasonable prices. The decor is like stepping back in time when you would get dressed up for dinner out. The fact that it has lasted this long says it all.

Overall

This is one of those old style traditional Floridian steak restaurants. Great food and excellent service. I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Steaks are top notch quality and grilled to your exact order. I really find it hard to fault anything, maybe the decor is dated but that's just part of the old style that makes it so good. If there is anything you need don't be shy just ask for it. Loads of parking space available, can wait in the bar if you didn't make a booking.

Well worth a visit.

While on vacations stopped at the restaurant for dinner. Ambiance was very nice and relaxing with a piano player. The Ceasar salad and the onion toasts were delicious.

5 stars all the way around for an obvious legend of a restaurant. First visit and experienced the freindliest wait staff along with the host. My steak was prepared exactly the way it was ordered. The salad was fresh, and the piano player was a nice addition to the meal. Just a good classic old American steak house that is well worth the visit.

Servive was the key , very polite staff. Some great food specials and reasonable prices. Quality steaks and some great happy hour specials at the bar. We will return on a Monday or Tuesday as they have 50:/: off the entire wine menu . The last time I was there was 1978..... Won't wait so long for the next visit.

Excellent. The food, the people, the service. They ever know how to properly cook my steak 'Pittsburgh". We celebrated my parent's 40th anniversary there way back in 1990 and they made a carrot cake especially at my request. My dad's favorite steakhouse.

The place is a riot... back to the 1970's. You can't even call it retro, because it's original! The steaks are great and the waitresses are hilarious..
