Provided by DexKnowsGreat food. Great people. This is the best steak around. I wouldn't miss going here for the world. I live 3 states away and make it back several times a year and make a point to stop and eat here. It is the highlight of any trip! Ask to sit in the north 40!

Provided by DexKnowsI was 10 years old the first time my father drove from Laramie Wyoming to Ft. Collins to eat at the NEW restaurtant Charco Broiler. As a kid the trip was long and tiring but the food was great! Now I am 64 and still enjoy the facilities at Charco Broiler and take all my visitors to dine there.

Provided by DexKnowsOrdered the Club steak (20 oz). . .the knife had a hard time cuting thru it. They replaced it with a different steak (supposed better cut) . . .visible grissle, very tough, Not happy with money spent. I will not reccomend this to anyone. Go somewhere else. Guaranteed waste of money. For all the locals, save it.....you don't know any better.

Provided by DexKnowsThe charcoil Broiler is an amazing experience. It doesn't claim to be a fancy restaurant. You will get great tasting food and a good price. The atmosphere is relaxing and rustic. We love it there.

Provided by DexKnowsI am actually impressed by the sheer disregard for taste and presentation. We started with the shrimp cocktail which came out with club crackers still in the package. The shrimp were slightly cold but not chilled. The bread came next, along with the salads. The bread was a warmed up store bought roll that stuck to every nook and cranny in my teeth. It was like building material. The salad will go down as the ugliest thing ever assembled on a plate. It was so bad I had to send pics to all my friends. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, thick circular sliced carrots, a few onion slices topped off with Chex Mix. Serious. I think they were supposed to be the croutons. The salad looked like a well-intentioned child decided to make a salad for his mom on Mother's Day. I ordered the bacon wrapped filets ($27) and they were previously frozen. It was the only steak I have ever eaten rare that was actually dry. Eat here when you plan on breaking up with someone, it'll take their mind off the pain.
