After earning her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida, Dr. Formica, relocated to New York. She completed her family medicine residency at Glen Cove Hospital – Northwell Health on Long Island, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a specialized fellowship in sports medicine through the Louisiana State University (LSU) Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
