Physical Therapy is the unique health care specialty that works with individuals encountering a particular movement disorder. Physical Therapy is delivered by a licensed Physical Therapist initiated with a comprehensive evaluation to identify problem areas that are facilitating the disorder and/or problem. Physical therapy can incorporate a variety of strategies to improve the clients function and reach their goals. These strategies may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance training, body mechanics, flexibility, home exercises as well as a variety of modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, or cold.

Orthopedics
John has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 1986, joining Back in Action Rehabilitation in 1993. He has extensive experience and training in the treatment of neck and lower back pathologies, upper and lower extremity injuries and post surgical conditions. He received his Bachelors Degree in 1986 from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University in 1990. He has received certifications in Manual Therapy, Orthopedics and Dry Needling.

Physical Therapists

Sports Medicine
Renae has been employed and part of the Back In Action Rehabilitation staff since 1993. She completed her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Exercise and Sports Medicine. In 2015, she obtained her personal training certification (CFPT) from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
Physical Therapy
Emily Jane Mans is a graduate from the University of Tennessee, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2017. In 2019, she received her physical therapy assistant degree from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She has been an ACE Fitness certified Personal Trainer since 2015. Throughout her life, Emily, participated in a variety of sports including soccer, competitive cheerleading, cross country, track and field, and hockey. Leisure activities include running, fishing, hiking in Glacier National Park, and taking her loving yellow lab, Marley, for walks or a run outside, no matter the weather conditions.
Occupational Therapy
Rachel first joined Back-in-Action Rehabilitation in May of 2021 as an Exercise and Sport Science intern with our therapist Kyle Borowitz. As of June 2021, she has been a part of our front office staff at our Fond du Lac location. Rachel graduated from Marian University in the spring of 2022 with her B.S in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology. She is attending Mount Mary University to receive her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing softball, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. See All Staff
Shoulder Pain
Manual Therapy
She has expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation having worked for adult and pediatric surgeons for over 13 years, prior to coming to Back-In-Action. She has treated neck, back, sacroiliac, foot, ankle, knee, shoulder, and hip surgical patients. She has additional training in manual therapy, functional movement, and taping, and she enjoys working with a variety of patient’s covering a wide range of diagnoses: MVA’s, work injuries, chronic pain, arthritis, MS, and Parkinson’s Disease.
