La Rosa Blanca

I love the dark mole sauce with chocolate. I think it's the best in town. We have always gone to the La Rosa Blanca on Fulton Avenue, but recently moved to Fair Oaks and decided to try this one. What a cozy, pleasant ambiance. The service was not only excellent, but friendly without being intrusive. The food was every bit as good as the food the serve at their other location. I love to order cheese enchiladas with mole sauce instead of red sauce. Their speciality mole dish is enmoladas, chicken in mole sauce. While they don't have a liquor license, they do serve blended drinks made with wine that went down just as easily. The pina colada was refreshing, and there is a good selection of beer. I'll go back because I liked the atmosphere and that we could talk without shouting. Prices were good, and there are usually coupons in the paper for a discount.

The restaurant is kid-friendly. It's a smaller place so if you want to be sure of a table call for reservations. We probably eat at La Rosa Blanca once a month.
