First time trying out this vet hospital, we were very impressed! The vet exam for our precious Baby, our 17 lb, 4 yr. old precious kitty, treatment for sneezing and eye drainage, from a very personable vet. He took the time to explain everything, and answer all our questions. He seemed to care a lot about our personal situation. Great location, too.

We've had great experiences wi...

We've had great experiences with Heritage and the vets there. They always take the time to talk to us, examine our pets from head to tail, and provide us with options. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, too.

We used two other offices before this one, and this is the best by far!!

We also love their extended hours and emergency services.

Awful services! Two years ago ...

Awful services! Two years ago we had a black lab that was having seizures and we took her in to see when the problem was and the woman vet did an assessment in which she put pressure on her head to see if she would move her head up and down freely. When she tried to push her head down, Zoey (our lab) resisted, as any dog would do if you tried to push their head down, so the vet told us that she had a problem with the vertebrate in her neck. After this, my mother and I were complete wrecks at this time, she told us that Zoey needed to have this super expensive corrective surgery to fix it. Then Greg then looked at Zoey the second time we brought her in and said that she had a blood clot at the base of her brain and told us that she could go to a neuro-surgeon in Detroit and shell out a whole bunch of money to fix it even though there was a small chance the surgery would work. They then told us that they needed to keep Zoey overnight for observation. We got a call the next morning telling us that Zoey had a stroke during the night and they had to put her down. So in a nutshell, they pushed us for expensive correctional surgery for a problem she didnt have and then another doctor in the same office said that Zoey had a different problem and then pushed us to pay for another surgery. I have never had a more disappointing trip to any other vet office ever.

Don't get ripped off

If you love your pet, do not take them here! I've heard all kinds of awful things about this place and they are all right. I have a couple situations myself.

I've had several cats in my life. Of course I always needed them fixed. On 3 seperate ocassions they have died. They told me it was from the surgery and still acted like they didn't care.

Another is I had my cat female cat spayed there. I ran into picked her up. The lady at the desk said 'oh that will be an extra $50, she was pregnant' on top of the $140 I was already paying. I said 'what, that is ridiculus, you couldn't have called or anything?' She replied 'by the time he got in there there was nothing he could do'.

My personal thought is that was Chad's own fault. I talked to Chad about this and he still wanted his $50. They should have checked to see if she was pregnant before doing the surgery. I would have rather had the hassle of baby kittens then pay $50. The kitens would have been cheaper. Chad gave my cat an abortion that should have never happened, and of course he acted as if he didn't care.

If you are going here and plan on getting your loved one fixed, remember to ask about the chances your pet may be pregnant because they will fail to tell you, you will be in the hole and their pockets will be full.
