Leigh, James & Associates is an outstanding law firm that made such a difference in my life. They helped me get through the difficult emotional issues in my divorce with compassion, and were extremely knowledgeable. They did a great job for me and got a great settlement for me in mediation. I saw Kenny Leigh in court when my attorney was late and wanted a continuance when he finally showed up. I called Mr. Leigh later that day and hired him to finish my custody matter which had been going back to court for two years. After requesting a trial he finally was able to complete my custody case. Mr. Leigh got such rigid requirements on my ex's contact that in the end my ex has followed the orders and is able to cooperate so that we can parent without going back to court. I would therefore tell anyone how happy he made me.

Despite of my prior divorce lawyer who was a Specialist in family law and I interviewed many divorce lawyers , I was so lucky to find Mr. Leigh. After I contacted and went to see him , I said wow in my mind that I really need this attorney to handle my case. For long story short, my divorce case was a terrible battle. My prior Specialist divorce lawyer failed to protect me against all bad attacks from the opposite lawyer. I was very happy with the results of the court hearings. My family is involved in a very difficult case. Kenny Leigh of Leigh, James and Associates, accepted our case, and our cause even though we are not from FL. We needed a FL attorney to fight for our cause and champion what we believed in. He did some excellent research on the issue that was at hand for our case. Without his knowledgeable insight and his research into case law for FL and finding the answers to some very difficult questions we would not have been able to be successful He had to deal with some very difficult people in FL. and to his credit Mr. Leigh weathered the storm and has helped us out. I have never written a review of a lawyer, but this one is well deserved. A man of his word, and a lawyer that does what is right. When a lawyer is able to break down a 50 page document submitted by the opposing lawyer, effectively making that 50 page document a mute point, whatever you are paying Mr. Leigh becomes well worth it.

I hired Kenny Leigh at Leigh, James and Associates to help with a prenuptial agreement before I got married. He was very helpful in guiding me through the process. What I found the most helpful was the information he gave me on how to talk with my fiancé in a way that she did not feel threatened or worried. We just won BIG in my custody case and I am writing this review to give Kenny Leigh and his associates the credit they deserve. For many years I was at the mercy of my ex. The court systems backed her on many false allegations against me, and I mean the court systems looked at me like a piece of trash dad. In 2007 my ex filed a child abuse allegation against me which again the court systems supported her and ripped my rights from me and ordered I have supervised visitation. It was then I decided to retain an attorney but in doing research I contacted numerous attorneys and ALL of them stated, “it’s a lost cause, we can’t help you.” I was on the verge of giving up on being an active part in my daughters life. I happened to come across a men’s advocate attorney on the internet, “KENNY LEIGH” and it was that day my life as well as my daughters life that was forever changed. I was pessimistic at first given the way the court systems had supported my ex for so long, but it was Kenny that gave me the confidence and inspiration to file for a modification of custody. Soon after retaining Kenny Leigh, my case turned around and Kenny Leigh and his associates Brian North and Matthew Hunt won me temporary custody. The case lasted two years and Kenny’s firm was always update and on top of my case, and soon my ex became intimidated by this law firm. These guys believe in what they do and are truly a men’s advocate firm. This firm always returned my phone calls/emails and the fees were always reasonable. I have to say, it’s not about the money with this law firm, they want to win you custody and bring justice for fathers. We went to trial in November 2009 and this firm put my ex in her place and brought justice for my daughter. We won custody and much needed supervised visitation for my ex. Finally the roles reversed, Kenny Leigh and his associates won me child support, traveling expenses since I live out of state, tax deduction for my daughter, and even retroactive child support to the date Kenny and I filed for a modification of custody. I could not say enough about this law firm, they are team players including the legal assistants and paralegals at his firm. This firm is a dedicated AGGRESSIVE law firm who fights like hell for fathers rights. I could not recommend to you enough to whoever reads this, to retain this law firm, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! I have been in a nightmare for over 12 years as a father who's kids were moved to FL from WV by their mother. After years of trying to "go it alone" and getting screwed , I finally hired an attorney - Kenny Leigh - in 05, and its been a completely different story ever since. I had been beaten down and distrustful of "the system", but Kenny immediately gave me much needed confidence to not only draw a line in the sand, but reverse some of the losses I'd suffered over the years. Immediately things changed for the better for me and my kids, as my time with them was increased tremendously. No longer was I a slave to the whims of my ex - our time was well defined, child support was reasonable, and life in general improved so much as my time with my kids was so much better, and so much more. As importantly, a tremendous amount of stress was gone. Kenny won a huge one for me.



Since then, there have been other battles - none started by me. Most recently, Kenny and his staff delivered another big win in regards to child support and visitation. And again, a huge amount of stress has been relieved, and this one will have repercussions for the rest of the time I have to deal with her.



I might add I have always found his rates completely reasonable and fair - I'd done it alone for a long time because I thought I couldn't afford an attorney - it turns out that I couldn't afford not to have one. Its money well spent - these things aren't cheap, but I assure you there are more expensive attorneys, but they won't be any better in my view.



I have found that Kenny and crew are zealous fighters on behalf of their clients - most importantly, they give you the info you need to make your decisions - I paid them to tell me what they thought, and sometimes went against their advise - in those cases they never pressured me to "see it their way" - in fact, in most of those instances I found they were right in the first place and ended up going the route they suggested. They may not tell you what you want to hear, but they're the pros - you're some guy that is getting screwed, are angry and emotional - pay them to do some straight-headed thinking for you, and remember that they've seen this hundreds of times, they know the system and the law, and they'll get the best that you can expect.



Divorce with kids involved has been a long, horrible process for me - my biggest regret is that I didn't hire Kenny earlier - I'm serious (and not "blowing smoke"), when I say that my life would have been so much easier if I'd had them all along.



I appreciate his work, and feel more comfortable with a firm that works for the guys - and our kids.

Out of all the research I have done to find the best attorney in the Jacksonville market that specialize in Family Law, Leigh James and Associates was bar far the best out there. Dealing with family issues is never good but the team at Leigh James and Associates was there to help every step of the way. I would recommend them for any one that has to go through a divorce.
