After shopping at Lowe's and Home Depot, I decided it would be better to get my small job done locally. I stopped by and told them exactly what I wanted. They said I would get a phone call in two days with a quote. That was several weeks ago. Because of the previous review that claims calls aren't returned, I haven't bothered calling them. Will find someone else.

"Jax8or" thank you so much for your post. Until reading your post, Fleming Island Home & Kitchen lead us to believe that we were their only unhappy customer.



Our contract was signed in November 2012 with work to start mid January 2013. Work was started two weeks late and our two to three week remodel is, as of August 14, finally over. From the moment this remodel started it was nothing but a frustrating, unpleasant experience. FIHK is argumentative, unresponsive, and quick to place blame on us, the homeowner, for their poor planning and workmanship. Details verbally discussed in the planning stage, but not fully detailed in the contract in writing, were not completed as expected. These details could have been recalled if the project did indeed take 2 - 3 weeks but not 8 months later. Some of their "craftsmen" had other full time jobs, one as a Firehouse Sub employee, which treated our remodel as a side job, working nights and weekends. We could have been our own contractor if this was the best FIHK had to offer.



One of their selling points is that their cabinets come with a lifetime warranty....this is of no value when they will not return phone calls. The only thing FIHK was able to do in a timely fashion was present us with the invoice (an invoice which had increased from the original signed contact due to "omissions").



In June the owner of the company told me that my expectations were too high! So if you are looking for a "professional" to remodel your home look to someone else besides Fleming Island Home and Kitchen.

I am owner of the company, and tried replying to the review thru the business reply, but could not get it to do so, so I did reply this way. I encourage any customer of ours with this type issue to contact us with their issues, and not hide behind an anonymous review. I did match up the email mostly to a customer however, that I think this might belong to. So we contacted the wife of this job and she was very happy and ecstatic with her kitchen cabinets. There were aspects of this job that were handled by the homeowner and had nothing to do with our contract. We were in and out in the time frame outlined. All calls were returned with the exception of 1 and that was because the sales person was out all day due on another jobsite. Also, the conversation on -5-2013 confirmed the home owner is in fact, not complete even yet with the job, but it is for items she is personally handeling. So again, I encourage whichever party or customer this is to call us. We have been in business 43 years and take these type of verbalizations very seriously and want to always get to the bottom of it. Thank you for your time.

We used Fleming Island Cabinets for a project that we were doing. Their customer service is terrible, won't return phone calls and always an excuse as to why the project took too long and not done correctly. Will never use again.
