Stop in about 10pm. for the first time. Food was MMMMmmmm good. Even took a pizza home for the next day. I'm from Chicago and my bubby Dave is from Boston and we enjoyed it. We will be back with our familys
Stay away from the Lasagne. We ordered the Lasagne and it was the most awful thing ever and just really turned me off on Lasagne. They took a couple of small noodles, added some sort of cheese mixture, placed about four small slices of boiled sausage on top of that, poured in nothing more than canned chopped tomatoes, then melted an over abundance of mozzarella cheese on top of that to hide the creation in the bowl. Absolutely horrible!!! If you lift up the cheese on top...you can clearly see this terrible concoction. I would never eat here again and wouldn't suggest it for anyone else. And they charge $11.95 for this.
What a strange experience we had! We ordered the spinach and artichoke bread for an appetizer. It was a spinach and artichoke pizza. The water chestnuts put a weird spin on this dish and the pieces were too big . It just didn't make sense. Our salads came out right after our app and I had to ask the server to make sure that the entrees were not on their way as well. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. The dish was huge and it was filled with spagetti and sauce and lost in it was my small piece of chicken. When I order Chicken Parmesan, I want Chicken Parmesan, not a bowl full of pasta and a piece of chicken as an after thought. My children split the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo. Now, I had noticed that the Spinach and Artichoke "bread", had a very strong oregano taste but I thought that it was meant that way. When we received the Alfredo, I figure out what it was. They are garnishing the dishes with oregano. WHY???? It changes the whole flavor of the dish! Be prepared for the staff to scream hello to you when you walk in the door and be prepared for an overdose of oregano garnish!
I like the place okay, but the food is just mediocre. The big draw of the place is the booths with the individual TV's. If it weren't for this, we would probably go elsewhere.
I went here tonight to eat because I had a Buy One, Get One Entree Free coupon from the local Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising booklet. I ordered a dinner entree, and my son ordered a stromboli. The coupon was not honored because he didn't have an "entree". The thing is, he could have ordered an "entree", but it probably would have been more expensive. This is actually the second time I've tried to use it, and the second time they have denied it. The first time, I was trying to order to-go. I pretty much understand them denying that one... the idea being to get you to come in and eat so they can make up the loss on the drinks and other orders, and the wait staff making the tips. After tonight, I really believe they just don't want to honor the offer. As I said before, the food is just okay and there are too many other choices around.
This place has a better pizza than new york ! really good food, I love it.
This is the best pizza i ever had!! and customer service really nice too!!
I am from the north and when i came down to visit my family we had a dinner at tony's thanks god for that!! they have a BEST PIZZA EVER!! I mean best pizza and customer service!!
This place was truly good when it first opened. However, it didn't take long for the love affair to end leaving nothing but a bitter taste. You really had to be carful what night you ordered or the pizza went from bad to worse. The staff was always changing (not a good sign) and the owner was curt and somewhat rude at times.
The long lines were orignally going in to eat dinner and pick up pizza. Sad to say that the long lines eventually were on the other side of the door with customers trying to escape.
And now.......the lines have dissappeared as I predict so will Tonys Brick Oven Pizzeria.
We eat there every week with our whole family. The pizza is always yummy. The best in town.
December 11, 2009. Very small having approx. 10 tables. Was asked to wait 5 minutes and a table would open up. After 10 minutes a table was taken by another guest the staff FORGOT was waiting. Finally seated but wished we followed our instincts and left. Ordered veal and spaghetti dinner and stuffed shells dinner to eat in and also a small sausage pizza to go. The salad was lettuce, small cubes of tomato topped with cheese. Nothing to write home about. I personally have never eaten a rubber tire but the VEAL RESEMBLED EATING A RUBBER TIRE. Authentic Italian restaurants always serve spaghetti dinners with a spoon. No spoons in sight. The shells were okay once you found them after being smothered in inferior sauce. The iced tea was gray in color and tasted horrible. Had to order a cola as a replacement beverage. After all those disappointments, the sausage pizza (that we never would have ordered if we ate first) was topped with hamburger meat instead of sausage.
WE WOULDN'T EAT HERE AGAIN IF THE FOOD WAS FREE!!!!
This restaurant has truely amazing food and amazing service. This is great for a night out with the family or with friends. The flat screen TV's really make you feel at home. The NY-Style pizza is the best I have had. their chicken wings are out of this world. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I have recommended this place to all my friends and family members on Fernandina and in Jacksonville. Make sure you stop by!
We had an awesome experience. The best pizza in town. We were able to sit and enjoy our dinner with the kids, due to the flat screen TVs and the exceptional service. We had a great night out.
We had an excellent dinning expierence not only did Mr. Mark Keller one of the owners take and cook our order he also delivered it right to us. He really made our night his wings were great the best obn the island. WAY TO GO TONY's
We love New York style pizza, and Tony's delivers. Lots of cheese, great sauce, and and nice thin crust. What more can you ask for.
the food was great but the delivering sucks really bad we had to call twice and they still didn't get the order correct. Never let them deliver to you always pick it up and check your food......
