Kinder Care

Been bringing my school aged son here for almost 3 years. Although he's not happy that learning happens, I sure am. There are lesson plans and a curriculum that is followed for all school vacations and all summer. The older children don't just sit around. The level of care he receives is more than satisfactory, and any concerns I've had have been dealt with in a timely fashion. I'm certainly happy with the staff and especially the management.

My husband and I both find this school to be more than adequate. Our daughter is a toddler and we entered her into the Kindercare program several months ago.



The only negative I find is the often immature and snooty manners of a majority of the young and less-than-experienced staff. Often while picking up my daughter I feel as though I have accidentally wandered into a sorority house where gossip and weekend plans are the topic of the day.



My daughter seems to enjoy her time here (she is not able to verbally tell my husband and I she is happy there but she doesn't cry when we drop her off and has bonded with a few of her "teachers" so we feel comfortable leaving her in their care)



It should also be noted that this facility has had no violations according to NY state in the past 2 years, with the exception of one incident where countertops accessible to children were not cleaned properly with sanitizers. This was corrected in early 2010 and there have been no violations since.



All in all, this is a safe place to take your child. It is clean, professional (for the most part) and even though the staff is more reminiscent of "The Babysitter's Club" than what you would expect from a big name place such as Kindercare it is well worth the money knowing your child is safe.



Also, be advised that this facility is more "Institutionalized", and by that I mean you will not get the same loving or nurturing feel as you would at a privately owned facility. This may be a drawback for some, but rest assured that your child will be well cared for.
