Hurry for Better Living through SURGERY and Chemistry! Dr. Jane Long is an Amazing Surgeon! I have an 18 year old dachshund, treated at FVC since 4 years old. Thanks to her, Zippy is still has all his teeth! Zippy was an active hunter, cleaning up moles, voles, mice ground squirrels, rabbits and ground hogs. Deer are still given loud escort. Dachshunds all develop arthritis and spinal issues with age and injury. Medically managing Zippy from early onset of of injury and inflammation has kept Zippy on all 4 feet. He still trots, but I discourage him from running due to congestive heart failure. Dr. Long has also repeatedly managed to salvage his eyes form infections over the years. Most recently, Dr. Tom Lomax is helping address the onset of more geriatric problems. I hope we get to March 2016 and celebrate his 19th Birthday. I drive an hour + and pay a toll to get to FVC. Excellent care is worth it!

My mom kept taking our dog to this place and I never liked the vet. And all they want to do is take your money. Once they tried to upsell us on a treatment our dog didn't need and they admitted the cheaper option was all our dog needed. The last time we went there I told my mom not to go there and she did anyway. Our dog was suffering from coughing and having trouble breathing. We took him there and she didn't know what was wrong even after an x-ray. All she could say there was a fluid build up. And there wasn't anything she could do. And that he is suffering so we should put him down. So that is what we ended up doing. She kept saying how painless it was going to be. And that she was going to use one drug to make him go to la la land. And the second was going to be the one to murder him. So she administered the first drug. And our dog was clearly not in la la land because he was able to comprehend us coming into the room and he tried to walk to my dad but only managed a small crawl. The time she came in for the second drug she insisted our dog was in la la land and wasn't going to feel anything. And when she put the second drug in our dog let out a big cry. It clearly was not painless and my dog felt it. The vet even said "I don't know why he did that"

Dr. Long is a fantastic vet. I have been a client for 10 years and the care my girls have received has been terrific. She is kind, attentive, responsive and has seen my cats through very difficult medical diagnoses. She recently helped me with the loss of one of my girls And is helping me through the process of losing my second baby, She has been supportive, helpful, and incredibly kind.

I would stay away. I was a client for years and a friend of the original owner who I'm sorry to say passed away in 2011. I moved away recently and went into the clinic to pick up a copy of my pets records. I was told by (Dr.) Jane Long that I was not allowed in the building. She was screaming and ranting a mad person. I have no idea what her problem is and gave her no reason for her reactions. Apparently moving away and changing Vets will get you barred from this clinic. It is more expensive than other local Clinics but I went there because my friend owned the place. Certainly would not recommed anyone have to go through what I did. I plan to complain to the Maryland Veterinary Med. Assoc. as well as the AVMA. This "Doctor" should not be allowed to continue to practice. STAY AWAY!
