I was not pleased with my first visit. Even though I got in quickly, it was not pleasant from there on out. I waited extremely long to be taken back to room (not counting the fact that I was early). Doctor was not as gentle as I thought for being female, was told she would prescribe an antibiotic and to take motrin for my pain and ordered a sonogram. First available was.8 days away!

I've been going to this practice for over 15 years, and had no issues. I guess until I actually had a problem, and realized how horrible this place is. Made emergency appointmetn to find out that I was actively miscarrying. After I walk out of the exam room, the nurses AND Doctor are making fun of eachother for who gets to clean up the bloody mess - like this was not traumatic for me! After telling me it was likely ectopic, and sending me home - with an ultrasound appointment 2 weeks away, I was concerned. I called to express my concern for waiting 2 weeks, as your tube can rupture at any moment, and the nurse sighed and told me I would know if it ruptured and would need to go to the ER - isn't the idea to do something before it ruptures? I ended up in the ER for excessive bleeding - and when the ER Dr. called this office - they still expressed no concern to see me. The ER Dr., nurses & ultrasound tech - as well as ALL other health professionals - informed me that thisis malpractice and couldn't believe what they heard. PLEASE don't go here...unless you like patient mills that don't follow protocol.

The practice came highly recommended by several friends and coworkers. My first appointment was with Dr. Bonar who treated me as though I were a drug seeking degenerate because I asked for a prescription pain reliever other than one with codeine (that she'd written for me for dysmennorhea) because I am allergic to it. Being very uncomfortable with and insulted by this, I began seeing Dr. Silver. The first two years were very good; I was comfortable with him and his care. I found him thorough, gentle and attentive. Beginning with year three, things changed dramatically. He became rushed except during the pre-exam interview which consisted of him lecturing (weight, smoking, etc.) for 15 - 20 minutes and me humuliated and crying. The exams also became very painful. These combined to make me dread keeping my appointments, even after I quit smoking. I've spoken to people I referred to Dr Silver during the early years and they have encountered the same discrimination and acerbity that seems to worsen as time passes. I sincerely regret these referrals and feel horrible that due to them, I've exposed family and friends to this treatment. I've heard there are other providers in the practice that are wonderful, but if you are overweight, you smoke, or are any different from the accepted "norm," and you do are set on staying with this practice, you may want to select one of these other physicians.

I don't mean to be crude. But the last few occasions when I've had to go to this office, the receptionist were rude, pushy, and very inconsiderate of how they treated me. Dr. Silver and several of the Dr.'s there are very good and I liked them but I fell rushed and not comfortable enough to ask a few questions. It also takes me a considerable amount of time to even schedule an appt with this office. I'm moving on to a smaller more personable office.
