Chemotherapy
May treatments may be used for colon cancer such as surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy. The important thing to now is that when cancers are still localized (before they spread) there is an opportunity to cure them by surgically removing them (cutting them out) to get rid of them. Once they metastasize (meaning they start spreading from the colon to other body parts) it's more difficult to control them although some treatments (like chemotherapy) are available.

CT scans have numerous applications, but are especially well fit for immediate evaluation of patients who may have internal injuries from vehicle crashes or other forms of trauma. The CT scan can be used to image virtually all areas of the body and is used to detect sickness or injuries as well as to plan medical, surgical or radiation therapy.
