We care about our patients. Dr. Kolander is gentle and honest. He graduated from UCSF in 1996 and has been practicing for 20 years. We can answer your questions, so please call our office. Dr. Kolander graduated UCSF in 1996 Magna Cum Laude. He earned the highest honor awarded by the faculty and fellow students with the Francis A. Sooy, UCSF cup. He was selected for a residency at the VA in Martinez upon graduation from dental school. He has been practicing at this location since 1997. He is member of the ADA, CDA, and SDDS and OKU, the National Dental Honor Society.

Dental Examination
The examination and cleaning should not be painful; however, if you have not visited the dentist for a while, you may experience some discomfort or sensitivity. Every person is different, so if you have any concerns, you can always speak to us prior to starting.

Teeth Cleaning
Great staff and state of the art equipment. Spouse and I both had Johna as our hygienist and she was excellent, as was Dr. Kolander. They both spent quite a bit of time explaining procedures in detail and checking to see if we had any questions. Top notch care, and one of the most thorough and gentle cleanings I have ever had.

Fillings
Veneers
Veneers are thin shells intended to cover the front side of teeth to hide stains, chips, decay, or irregularities. A dental technician uses a model created by a dentist to make a custom shell out of special materials.
Crowns
A tooth can lose its normal shape and size for a variety of reasons. A crown covers your tooth to help restore its original shape and size. Crowns can also be used to make teeth stronger and look better.
