THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!! My husband contracted RINGWORM from this gym!!!! The manager, JACOB, apologized and told us the membership would be canceled immediately. He also assured us that the evening employee that he found out was NOT PROPERLY CLEANING THE EQUIPMENT was fired immediately. My husband initially signed up for the free trial, called twice the next month, and went in once to sign cancellation paperwork, WHICH he did, and we received a monthly charge a month later!



My husband goes BACK IN and signed cancellation paperwork AGAIN. (By this time it's been two and a half months since my husband contracted ringworm from their facility, and one month after he already cancelled the 'membership'. He signs the paper work for the second time, and I speak with the manager, JACOB, who assures me that he will contact corporate and contact me immediately. We never heard from him again.



So TODAY, December 17th, we receive another monthly charge AND and annual fee. So that's $14.99 for November, and $53.99 for December... When we cancelled a TRIAL membership in October.



I just spoke with the manager JACOB, again, and he tells me now that the employee responsible for the ringworm was not let go, that he believes all of the charges are completely valid, and that there is no way we can prove that my husband contracted ringworm from the ONLY GYM HE WAS ATTENDING. (And newly, at that!). He tells me that he will contact corporate in regard to a refund, since he can not process any refunds in-house, and he will contact me immediately.



YEA RIGHT, let me hold my breath. There was originally no doubt that this is where my husband contracted ringworm. However, after now reading another yelp review about how dirty this place is, (from another reviewer), I feel it's necessary to warn others!



Avoid this place like it has the plague. . . After all, it DOES have RINGWORM BACTERIA.



I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau, The Department of Health, the local news, YELP, Google reviews, Facebook, Twitter, and anyone else I can.

If I could I would rate this place less than one star! Long story short, they do not have their act together. I was told the account I had with them as closed as of June 2012 which I did not close yet they said it had been cancelled. Was not charged for them from July 2012 - January 2013. Feb. 2013 I started getting billed again from them, and was billed again March 2013 so I contacted them. When I went in, I was given grief. I contacted corp. office and was told pretty much that it was all my fault and no credit back for the 2 months they charged me. I was then told I would not be charged again, and well I was charged AGAIN in April. This led me to have to contact them yet AGAIN! The only thing they said I would get a credit back for is for the ONE month I already paid for and thats going to take up to 90 days. RUN away from this place. DO NOT join Fitness Unlimited / Fit U / Fitness Evolution! Planet Fitness is WAY better and has their act together.

Don't go here they do not know what they are doing. They leave out charges when they explain to you what your getting charged for. After discontinuing our membership by paying a 30 day notice and a charge to leave the membership totaling 90 Dollars the very next month they removed an additional amount of money from my bank account.

When i called member services to have them charge back the funds they removed i was told they couldn't do this or wouldn't do this. oh and did i mention they removed an addition 50 dollars from the account. These guys are thieves and don't explain anything that your about to get into with them
