        Founded in 1956, Village Restaurant is recognized as one of the finest seafood restaurants in the United States. It serves traditional New England-style cuisine with a contemporary flair and is located in Essex, Mass. The restaurant s menu includes a variety of appetizers, pasta, steaks, chicken dishes, homemade desserts and microbrewed beer. Its appetizers feature onion rings, fried clams, potato skins, crab cakes, shrimp bruschetta and chicken fingers. Its seafood varieties include grilled, baked and broiled scallops, shrimp, fish and salmon. Village Restaurant also hosts several holiday parties, wedding rehearsals, birthdays and anniversaries and has a seating capacity of more than 200 guests. Additionally, the restaurant offers gift certificates of several denominations.
