Overall

I made an appointment for 4:30 to get highlights. I walked in at 4:10 and was told they would be right with me. While I was waiting, two people came in and were taken back before me. I didn't request a specific stylist, so anyone could have taken me. I was finally taken back at 4:55. I showed my technician a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do that. She tried to make small talk, but I was already upset at having made an appointment, been overlooked and had to wait almost an hour just to sit in the chair. She mixed my colors and started my hair. My mood improved as I listened to the stylists that were still in the store badmouth another employee who had left. They were discussing how they deal with her when she snaps at them and I thought it a tad unprofessional, but it was entertaining so I didn't say anything. She waxed my eyebrows and did a nice job and I even complimented her on how gently she washed my hair. I have had stylists in the past who pulled my hair and it was uncomfortable, so I appreciated that. She cut my hair and blew it dry. When she turned me around my hair looked nothing like the picture I had shown her. She kept telling me that it looked so good and that there were little hints of red in there like I wanted, but that she made them subtle so it wasn't too much of a difference. I don't see any red, but I was out of time and patience so I said "pretty" and got up to leave. I went to pay and was told that my total was $100. There was a sign on the window that said Monday's and Wednesday's, cut/color/style for $50. I questioned it and the two other girls in the store looked at me like I was crazy and one got defensive saying that it was on the sign that it was only for retouches. At this point I was exhausted from my experience and paid the bill, thinking in the back of my head that not only would I not go back to this Fantastic Sams, but I would be contacting corporate. I looked at the sign as I was leaving and it did say that it was for retouches...in tiny, tiny, TINY print. I wouldn't have seen this if I was standing directly next to the sign...someone would have to point it out to me. I will definitely not be back to this store and I have already contacted corporate. I will also be posting on facebook, Google, BBB and whoever else will listen.
